Via USB, hold the "OK" key while plugging in TV (with connected USB with firmware on it), if bootloader is OK it will copy new firmware onto main flash.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Looks like STBY goes LOW to turn this board on,
then BL ON goes HIGH

12 volts is steady at 11.7 volts (only with main board cable disabled)
24 volts is steady at 23.0 volts (only with main board cable disabled)Comment

with main board disabled
UF 5402 x4 diodes reading 0.06 volts
x1 35v 330 UF cap reading 1.5 volts
SB5100 x3 11.8 volts
x2 35v 1000 UF cap 1.5 volts
x2 35v 330 UF cap measuring 24.7 volts 23.1 volts
even with main board connected the voltages are only slightly higher but fluctuatingComment

Hi guys, I’m back here my friend give me her tv, that doesn’t turn on and no standby red led. When u plug in the cord the red led of one two second is on, then turn off. If you push the power button or the remote the red led blinks but nothing happen. I give u some photo with voltage, don’t look the fuse….because I blow it for mistake nd I dint have the right replace so I just put it for test the tv. The standby voltage should be 11,88 volt on the diode, but I have 13 volts. I put in the photo the different volts I test and there are someone negative…I don’t know if it s normal. On... -

After that it worked without a problem.

Recently had my bedroom Vizio D40u-D1 apparently die while it wasn't being used. Noticed the power LED flashing, figuring maybe a software upgrade, but attempting to turn it on proved that wasn't the case. When powered on, the power LED will flash a bunch of times after about 2 minutes then turn off again. Definitely is no picture even with a flashlight on the screen. Had the opportunity to open it up over the weekend. Doesn't apper to be anything out of the ordinary visibly inside, nor any odd smells of escaped magic smoke. Readings from the connector in the corner of the power supply board...

I have read through the Basic LCD TV and Monitor troubleshooting guides.

In the meantime I could not see any damage to any caps on the cold side of the power board, so I have replaced all of them.

Hi, I'm looking for some help with attempting to troubleshoot and hopefully repair my trusty LG55" TV.
I'm reasonably comfortable working with electronics, but far from expert level! I have more experience with auto-electrics than anything.
We recently had a power cut while the TV was on, and since then, when the TV is switched on at the wall, the red standby light comes on like normal. Then. when you press the power button on the remote or the TV to switch it on from standby, the standby light flashes 3 times and then goes out. There is no audio or video at...
