further testing leads to checking for bad caps and testing power pins out to the motherboard all tested fine...
disconecting the motherboard from the powerboard and swiching the TV on got me the same resolts as it turns on for a second and then turns off...
further testing the in and out of the power invertors turned out to be fine.

possibly a bad ccfl tube or connector but too look at these requires a screen strip down and high risk of cracking the lcd panel etc hopefully budm will have a idea what too check next

"from standbymode the TV turns on (whit the samsung on sound) and i can see my "tuners" sorce chanel 1 for 1 sec'... the tv then turns off (whit the smasung off sound)" That means PS-ON must have gone low.
So you need to report the DCV reading of all the pins of the power supply board that goes to the main board.

A common fault when the TV turns on and shuts down is the control pad is faulty. The touch buttons can go bad. I believe it's possible to disconnect the touch pad bit and use the IR remote only as they are on separate PCBs.

Did anyone ever get anywhere with this fault? I've just got one in with the same problem.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                  Assuming...

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
                  by PantherDave
                  Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                  Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74 power issue

                  Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

Bang & Olufsen (HP) Omen Laptop power light flashes once but no boot
                  by dicky96
                  Hi guys
I have a B&O Omen laptop here. It has very specific fault symptoms, hopefully someone can give me some guidance

If I plug in a known good 180W third party charger the little LED next to the power jack on the laptop flashes red once, but the laptop will not start. It will not flash red again unless you unplug and reconnect the power.

If I remove the main battery (I can't see a cmos battery) then the led by the jack does not flash when I plug in the adapter, but if I press the power on button with adapter attached it flashes once white every time...

                  Samsung UE75MU7009TXZG Endless Power Cycle

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any help I might get here

My Samsung TV is about 4 years old. The exact model number is UE75MU7009TXZG.
About half a year ago I started seeing occasional green frames pop up while watching movies. I mean literally green frames. Not the image turning green, but the entire screen turning green for a split second. This happened maybe once or twice during a 2 hour movie. So no big deal, but clearly something was not quite right.

Since a few days, the TV won't turn...
