insignia ns 42e760a12 half snow and verticals

I came home from work yesterday turned on my set and it showed up with half of the screen no signal snow from cable input (default start input) and half the screen with lines vertical I think this is t-con problem has anyone seen a pattern like this and do you agree or disagree that the repair path should start with t-con or with main board this set also has led address board if this is relevant I am inserting two pics first is prestart image then second is where it stays after start can someone share their opinion thanks Guys any advice would be greatly appreciated

I would say the LCD Panel Itself is stuffed. You may get lucky and try the tab-bonds applying light pressure etc then wedge them Usually a complete half no picture with lines like that is the panel itself though....

Don't take my word for it, but doesn't that look like figure 4 of the https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...0&d=1359336307 That's the second document from here: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...4&postcount=12

I also always have problems identifying problem sources for picture problems.
      Just my two cents.

I am going to say Panel myself too, Reason for this is the shadow that passes just over onto the good side of the image.... The loss of tcon signal or corrupt signal at the halfway mark seldom effects the working side.

Check those cables anyway and also the bonds

The fading towards the middle also indicates a panel problem of some kind to me.

VIZIO E70-E3 Half picture with half TCON
                by Fly_Among_Stars
                Hi,
                I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
                Main board appears fine, too.
I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
If both are connected, the screen is black.

If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and...

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
                by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

LG OLED77G1PUA - No Video / Audio after a TCON Board change and Software Update
                by Hakuu
                Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

                More Details

Got the same exact TCON board from TVPartsToday and replaced it. But didnt transfer the EPPROM data (didnt...

TCL 43S423 TCON OR PANEL FAULTY???
                by netgearnetgear
Good day, I have a TCL TV: Model 43s423. After turning ON the TV, the ROKU TV logo appears with fine lines over the whole screen, then after a while there are vertical bands in the middle of the screen top to bottom and the TV tries to update its firmware but I do not have the remote to connect it to my new network connection. Also the Power ON light blinks 2 times in quick succession. When I remove the ribbon on the right of the tcon board the left side of the screen shows but with fine lines. If I remove the left side ribbon and connect the right side ribbon the whole screen is blank with...

Sony 8K XBR-75Z8H White Screen Vertical Bars Tcon Code. Help Needed🙏
                by Daren87
                Hello everyone,

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...
