Vizio VW46L FHDTV20A

My problem is no picture no sound, after reading several different threads it appears that this is a common problem usually caused by a faulty voltage regulator, U33. However, the U33 on mine appears to be an amplifier of some sort, this is my guess since it's an 8 peg. Could someone tell me what the equivalent to U33 would be on mine? If needed I can try to post some pics of my main board tomorrow.

Which one is your main board? There are more than one version.

What are the numbers on the IC? That looks like it could be a DC/DC converter.

You really need to check PSU first to make sure all voltages are working before suspecting mainboard.

You need to start at the power supply board first by finding out if it has good STBY Voltage, then find out if you do have PS-ON command signal from the main board to run on the main power supply section.
If you do have PS-ON, then find out if the DCV on the main cap is >360VDC (if the power supply has PFC Voltage booster circuit).
