Sony KDL-55W905A blink code

Hello
Tried to find the meaning of those three blinks. Cannot locate any tech docs for this model.
It's a Sony KDL-55W905A blinks in a sequence of three blinks and pause.
PSU "seems" to generate the correct voltages, the most obvious are there though.
Two pics attached.
Any advice is appreciated!

some more, could be an audio issue. 3 BLINKS

The first thing to check when a 3X blink protection mode occurs is the physical condition of the speakers and speaker connections. The speakers should measure 8 ohms. Shorted speakers or connections can cause a 3X blink protection mode.
If the speakers and connections check okay, then the defective component is on the main board. Either an open F4200, defective DC regulator or defective audio amplifier will cause a 3X blink protection mode which would require replacing the main board.
A defect on the Power Supply Board may also cause a 3X blink protection mode and shut-off. Check the AU12V level at CN6704/pin 14. If 0V is measure before shut-off the power supply board needs to be replaced.

That PDF is for CRT TV: they are old info, not for LCD TV!

and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply
regulation and horizontal circuits.

I ordered a brand new mainboard for this one.
When starting up the blinking goes between green and yellow constantly.
I suspect it might need a FW download, probably through USB.
Anyone know if this is correct and how I do this?

According to Anmol's troubleshooting chart (post #2) a blinking green led is most likely defective LCD panel.....

Measuring the VLED output, it goes from +39V in standby to only +43V when on. I would assume a higher voltage.
The e-lyte for Vled is 100V 100uF.
The +43V is there even if disconnecting led panel.

Try first update FW with USB,

I tried to update FW through USB stick. It does not respond.
Not any sign of updating whatsoever.
Led blink green / orange continously in an endless loop.
The backlight is briefly turned on when power up, but shuts down after half a second.

According to service manual:

Error of panel ID Off Green Blinking Orange
Blinking
Blinking:0.5sec On / 0.5sec

...indicates a state of Error of panel ID. So what next?
Where are the panel ID stored? T-CON?

your new mainboard is same code ? i think this is MB problem. bcoz your mb dosn't update with usb. when we replace mb it need to update.

Anmol, I did succeed to enter service menu according to instructions on page 214 (SM)
I also did a picture test of different bars and colours and it all looks OK.
On page 216 the behaviour is described, frontled is blinking green / amber.
It is smart core waiting for USB with software. Here nothing happens.
The software on the USB stick is the one I found on Sony website, but I do not know if it requires some bootloader before the main application FW can be written?
