JVC LT-42E488 Not detecting HDMI inputs after repair

    Hi guys,

Long story short, my Tv, stopped tunning cable frequencies, I started to diagnose the tv, and found out there were 2 caps completely dried up, very high esr, one was a 22uf, and the other one was inside the tunner a 10uf/16 volts one, after replacing them. got back cable frequencies . Bad thing is no l don't have now HDMI. It seemed blocked, so I made a litte digging on the subject and found out that it may be due to a light sensor disabeling the hdmi ports for copy protection of some sort.

I tried accesing the service menu without finding any reset or factory default, also other kinds of solutions for other JVC models. None of them worked.

Does anyone has any experience with this particular model?, I cant find a service manual for this particular one. Only for other Lt models, witch have completely different service menu and functions.

Any help is welcome, Im very frustrated, ran out of ideas.

    Thanks!!

There is a firmware update for this model, but I don't know if it will fix the problem. Download from here: http://www.jvc.ca/downloads/update_p...re_LT-E_en.htm

Please let us know how you make out.

Marantz SR4003 AVR HDMI board issue, seeking for help
            by aliougm
I have problem with my AVR(Marantz SR4003) HDMI board issue. I connect to my TV but screen color distorted, see attached picture.

            Connection as below:
            Set-top box HDMI output >AVR 3 HDMI input/one HDMI output>HDTV HDMI port
If I bypassed AVR then HDTV screen color be good.

I take out HDMI board from AVR and check services manual the schematic shown the HDMI signals path:
            3 HDMI input port > SIL9185 chip(HDMI switch) > SIL9033 chip(HDMI receiver) > SIL9030 chip(HDMI transmitter) > HDMI output port

            I replaced all...

HDMI Inputs Have No Signal - Samsung UN65MU6290
            by dumpstertv
Hi all, I have a Samsung UN65MU6290 TV, and it works fine using its internal smart TV functions but I'm unable to get signal from any of the HDMI inputs. The optical audio out works, and there's one other component jack but I don't have the cables to test that. Checking the TV's diagnostics, the "HDMI SW IC" says "NG," so I assume the main board either needs to be repaired or replaced.

I saw some mail-in repair services, which I'm considering, but my main question is, if I choose to go the replacement route, do I need *exactly* the same board? There are a lot...

            Toshiba 50UL2063DB randomly rebooting with HDMI-CEC and/or HDMI-ARC enabled
            by spleenharvester
I have this TV hooked up to only an AppleTV 4K and a Creative soundbar. Originally HDMI-CEC and HDMI-ARC wouldn't work at all, I replaced all the HDMI cables with decent UGREEN cables meeting the latest standards, now it all works perfectly but once or twice a day the TV itself reboots while watching a program, the AppleTV keeps running. I haven't fully pinned down whether it is ARC or CEC causing it yet. All are running latest firmware.

I assume it is just HDMI-CEC being buggy as usual on a shitty Vestel machine, but can anyone think of anything I can try before disabling it?

LG LCD TV HDMI PORT FAULTY
            by RossMoodley1967
LG LCD TV picture comes on intermittenly using hdmi port. The sound is on permantly. The hdmi ports looks fine and soldered in securely. The 3.4v coming to the main board is not present(not sure if will affect the hdmi port or where that voltage goes.)The hdmi cable is fine because it works on another tv.The ceramic caps connected to the hdmi controller ic is reading 39 ohms.Could the hdmi controller ic be faulty(feels very warm to touch). The RCA jacks work normally .Thank you in advance for your assistance..

ESD Diode on HDMI output of Yamaha a1050 RCVR
            by budwich
I lost one of the two hdmi outputs on a yamaha rx-a1050 receiver. Of course, it is the hdmi1 which has the arc capability which was useful. The second output hdmi works OK.

I got an hdmi breakout board which gave me access to the "little guys" in the hdmi. I did some gross DC voltage measurements to ground and found that the Data1 pair (4 and 6) had a lower voltage than the working hdmi.... 1.1v versus 2.9. All others pins seem to be OK. Further when plugged into a display, there is no video but a message on the screen which I assume is the display's status for the...
