    37" lg tv pixelated screen help

    Ho all i have 37" lg tv works fine for first 20 mins Then screen starts getting jumpy like what happens to freeview with a bad signal. It get worse the longer it on so must be heat related ive checked for dry joints and bulging caps on psu all looks ok heres a video of what its doing

    You need to include model number of the TV & supply photos of the parts inside the set.

      When the screen starts flickering, is it on all inputs or just on AV? Also, is the OSD affected as well?

        Yeh its all inputs and the osd does it aswell ive tried scart, hdmi, composite and built in freeview

              I believe there's a service bulletin regardng this issue, ferrite beads on the main board going bad. Will try and find it.

                      Try cooling the mainboard when the problem starts, I think you can use a can of condensed air upside down. See if it temporarily relieves the issue.

                        It lasts a lot longer with just the back off the tv so its defo somthing thats heating but what would it be how would i find out what part to change

                          My guess would be this looks like one of the LGs that suffer bad SMD capacitors on the main board. See the recent reply on this thread where Arudge replaced caps on a 37LF65 with a similar problem and resolved the issue. The capacitor numbers are in the post:

                          Can you take the metal cover off the main board (in the middle) and post a close-up pic?
