There's a similar model with similar problems (big surprise) https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...=Coby+TFTV3227
This Crappy, I mean Coby that I'm looking at now is just as laughable and also failed to power up after "warming" up. It's the TFTV3225. A 32" steaming pile of feces.
I chuckled too when I saw a ground wire attached with a piece of foil tape. lol
The power supply has no visibly bad caps, but I'm sure there are some. When I plug it in, the standby light comes on but the TV fails to power on. Put your ear to back panel and you can hear the familiar whining of failing PCB components.
Upon further inspection and troubleshooting, I found it much more cost effective to just buy a new 32" TV. They're so cheap now.
In the future, stay away from Coby products. That's assuming they are still in business. I'm not even gonna waste my time googlin' that.
Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe someone has spent their valuable time narrowing this problem down to a $.60 fix. Post it here if you have.
