Vizio sv470xvt1a won't come out of standby

picked up this TV last week for free in the previous owner stated he went to bed and then in the morning it wouldn't turn on anymore. Being relatively familiar and vizios and fixed a few in the past I first started checking voltage regulators on the mainboard they all seem to be within spec. Oddly if I jump 5 volt standby to PS-ON I get all the voltage is coming off the power supply including 12 and 24 volts to the inverters but the inverters will not power up since the main board is still in standby. Is this an EEPROM issue? I noticed somebody else on the forums has a 42 inch version having the same problem.

Btw yes I tested all fuses as well

I ordered an eeprom. I feel that this is it. Anyone else have a clue?

I was looking at SHOPJIMMY last night to see if they have EEPROM for this model but it is not listed.

okay I couldn't happen to notice that all the voltage regulators between pin 1 and 2 are receiving 1.243 volts
Is this a little shy of 1.25 Volts?

Yes the eeprom replacement didn't work.

The spec is +/-3% so you are OK.

nevermind I read up in another post if somebody fixing the same exact model TV that his regulators were running the same voltage and it appears that there okay.

I'm thinking probably a bad processor or a faulty BGA connection as I am NOT getting any PS on or back light on signal from the main board although I can jump right things and get back to work in the power supply rails to come up.

Vizio D50u-D1 Dead Set No Standby
                by fharris1977
Hi. I got a Vizio with no power or standby, and won't turn on with remote or button. I checked the voltages on the connector and all read 0.00V or nearly 0(0.050 ON/OFF pin). None of the pins are labeled STB for standby although I do see some 5V pins. Other than the obvious standby led, which isn't coming on, is there a way to check for standby voltage on this PS. I'm trying to see if my problem is the PS or mainboard. Some Vizios I have fixed with no standby led me to think it was the PS but it turned out being the mainboard. Any experience with this set would be greatly appreciated.

Have vizio E60u-D3. No standby light. Have searched and read all D??u-D3 posts. posts with same symtoms fixed by new power supply, one guy needed back lights also.
main boards are kinda spendy and, out of stock alot of places. i would like to fix my board.

Vizio E550i-A0 no power, no standby light
                by x_orange90_x
I have a Vizio E550i-A0 that will not power on. It also does not display the standby light in the corner. I disconnected the main board cable to see if the backlights would light but they did not (maybe this is normal for this set?). I checked the voltages on the plug and they all read in mV or 0, so there's no voltage there. The fuses are ok, and the voltages of the 450v caps read about 160v. I see no visual damage on either the power supply or main board. I have read online that the main board is usually the culprit in this model, but not getting backlights with the main disconnected makes me...

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died
                by tvguy12012012120
This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....
