Toshiba 50L1350U

Just wanting to know if anyone has any info on this model. Pretty basic LED. One power supply board, one tcon and one main board. FRC (Frame rate conversion) is controlled by what board?? The Tcon or main?? These newer sets the manufactures usually put the FRC on one of those 2 boards. It definitely does not have its own independent board for this set

General idea is you post a picture and we look at read the part numbers
and if unknown look them up.
Tell me what do you see/recognise in this section of your picture

I cannot the screen model on the T-CON board, I can see that it is LG display. Main board, cannot read the # either.

Can't see an FRC chipset on any of them.

Typically, FRC is identified by one large BGA or QFP chip coupled with one or more DDR, but unlike the video processor it is not hooked into HDMI or other video inputs.

Also they usually have 2 LVDS cables if the FRC is on the main board to handle the increased data rate.

thanks guys!! the Tcon is the only board in this set that has 2 LVD cables coming from it. those 2 LVD cables run to 2 separate boards which run into the panel by the looks of it. Unplugging either cable will cut off picture to the right or left portion of the panel depending which cable you remove.

My initial thought was a bad FRC that I thought may have been on the Tcon?? I found a known good replacement Tcon and replacing the board yields the same results!! I also replaced the LVD cables with new ones, no change!! Im only a whopping $11.75 into the set so not the end of the world!! Was considering finding a replacement MAIN but judging from what your saying?? That may be a shot in the dark??

Did "NOT" want to believe that this may be a bad panel symptom?? but I guess anythings possible. Penny for your thoughts after viewing the video symptom. Not sure if anyone thinks a bad main could cause that issue? It displays the jumpyness regardless of input selected

That symptom resembles some kinds of panel failures. The issue looks like it might be some kind of thermal hysteresis - i.e. something heating up and cooling down. Perhaps try applying hot air/freeze spray to parts and see if the symptom varies.

The problem starts from the second you turn on to the second you turn it off. Regardless of how long it's on for etc.... Bad panels can be tough to diagnose for sure. Any chance at all that a bad main could cause this?
