    Samsung UE26D4003BW stand-by light blinking

    Hi!

I've had this TV collecting dust on shelf for a while now, thought i'd give it another look. When i last time worked on it, main board was suspected faulty.
Thought i'd post this here to be sure.

The symptoms are: stand-by light flashing 6 times when plugging the TV in. Nothing comes up and no reaction from the buttons. Caps on the SMPS board seem to be ok.
Also backlight does turn on when mainboard is disconnected.

I want to try resetting the eeprom, but i'm having trouble identifying the eeprom chip, does seem like it's the "Winbond 25X40BVSIG 1143" (marked with red) or the "ATMLH142 2ECL Y 1G8213" that also seems to have 4 debugging connectors on top of it (marked with yellow).

Re: Samsung UE26D4003BW stand-by light blinking

That is not an EEPROM, it's an SPI flash. It cannot be "reset"
With main board power cable out, check PSU voltages, all good?

        Whoops! wrong thread! (edited)

If you are getting back lights with the main disconnected then its either mainboard or t-con, but this unit looks like the T-con is built into the panel itself so I would bet its a bad mainboard.

Also blinking power LED on Samsungs means nothing :P

Well, the BL ON/OFF command is there... so the backlight SHOULD turn on.

Does the back light come on with the main connected but the lvds cable
                disconnected.

if by lvds cable you mean the one from mainboard to t-con, then disconnecting this and leaving mainboard connected to psu doesn't make a difference, same blinks, no backhlight or any sign of life

At this point then we know the power supply and the backlights are OK, but when you have the main board connected the PS_ON is not HI anymore, so you do have main board problem.

Bud, don't Samsung boards use inverted PS ON so a LOW signal is ON, and a HIGH signal is OFF? (Of course Samsung could have changed it for these models...)

Ok, could you use a resistor from 100-470 ohms in value and connect PS-ON to GND? Then see if 13V/5V go away.

Also the standby light blinking pattern is different

It's late but if someone still needs a solution then they should know that the led bar is broken and the circuit breaker protection is working. It is difficult to find the led bar for this size 26 ".

                                          Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...

                                          Hey Everyone,

So I've got this Samsung and the reported issue is that when powered on the backlight comes on, but no picture, no sound, it will flicker, the standby light will flash red twice and repeat the whole process...each loop lasts about 15 seconds.

I've googled the issue and understand it is likely a panel/driver board issue, but was hoping the "tape method" could be successful. Before I did that though, I disconnected the left LVDS cable and powered the TV on. This time I got sound, no picture and the two blink standby light stopped. Did the same...

                                          Hello,

I've got a problem with a Samsung UE60KS7000 that was given to me and said that there was a problem with the One Connect box but as I understand the TV should turn on even with the One Connect box disconnected (which it doesn't). There is no stand by light.

I've disconnected the Main Board from the PSU and when connecting to mains the backlight turns on which suggests the PSU might be ok. I've measured the voltages out of the PSU and they seem reasonable (like the labels say). The main board has no obvious burns, there are no shorts on the power rails anywhere....
