Tried it today.
If i have both cables disconnected(LVDS cable installed) there is still a clicking noise coming from the t-con. Held it up to my ear and its definetly coming from the tcon
What can "click" in the tcon board?
Replace Tcon im assuming?Comment

There may be shorted circuits on the T-CON so the switching power supply on the T-CON is turning on and off.

In the service manuals I seen so far for Bravia TVs, the schematics are not included and the reason for that according to Sony is that part level repair of the boards are too complicated. So it very unlikely that you will find schematics for your TVComment

I have the same tv like this kdl55ex713, it have band of vertical lines, intermitant picture bad.
When I put menu, the lines is missing, picture ok, so I am sure problem is T-CON, not the panel.
If the menu is clear, that mean panel is ok.Comment

Hi,
i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.
Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
Or is it always a bad/shorted... -
Hello, Last week I bought the 50" Sony X80j tv everything was working fine, untill I plugged the tv in a ups power supply 650va the tv remote control became unresponsive and the TV became laggy after a while the picture quality isn't the same as before the tv seems less brighter and the picture is somehow blurry, people's faces don't look as natural as before, there is a mini orange-pink tint to the edge of people's faces especially in NETFLIX Dolby Vision like in One Piece ep1 Alvida skin tone, my intention was to protect the tv but something went wrong I checked the ups with a multimeter,... -

What happend is that image dissapeared while we were watching tv.
Diagnostics:
1. TV turns on, no errors
2. Backlight turs on, no errors
3. Power indicator turns on, white color, no errors
4. Menu works on android, you can hear sound while switching channels
5. Volume up and down works via TV remote and via buttons
6. Tunner works, HEVC / MPEG-4 decoder works
7. I get audio from channels
8. No picture is present,... -
Previous owner said TV just went blank one day.
They attempted to open the back panel and yanked the power connector off the power supply in the meantime.
Easily fixed that and got the TV to turn on. Backlights come one with everything connected. Good Sign.
The mainboard shows signs of life (red light on digital audio out is on) but that's about it. Good Sign.
There is not blinking LED and the most importantly there is LED response and sound when I press the MENU button on remote control. GREAT Sign.

I was watching youtube yesterday, when I paused it to go to the washroom. When I came back, the right side of the screen was showing half of the youtube channel and the left was black. I powered off/on the unit with the remote and now I have no picture whatsoever except for the bluish backlight. I did the factory reset (power + vol down), and now I when I power on I get the startup music, backlight but no picture.
