OK, I need the DC Voltage readings on the MASTER Inverter board connector when TV is turned on.

I just had another thought. If the original 2.2uF capacitor was 45v, but you used a 450v part, I wonder if the ESR is too high?

And if the original one was faulty, that might be why it doesn't work when you put it back.

The Backlights (ON/OFF) is kind of low, I expect it to be more than 1V (you are getting 0.883V). Most panel uses around 2.5V minimum for BL_ON.
So what you can do is to remove the ON/OFF PIN from the inverter board, then use two 1.5V batteries connected in series to give 3V output, connect the negative to the chassis, the positive is connected to one end of resistor 330~1K Ohms resistor, another end will be connected to the ON/OFF pin of the inverter board AFTER the TV is switched on, the backlights should come on.

i removed pin 12 put 3.5 v with 3~1k resistor on pin 12 after board got power inverter would not flash blue again, until i removed the voltage then it flashed. the green light on the on/off switch was still green.

I picked up this TV that the prior owner said - just died.

Tested the fuse - burnt. A dead capacitor is visible too on the hot side (CP801). Got the replacement power board (cheaply - used). Replaced the board - the TV turned ON!

Now, about a month later (yesterday) I noticed the left side of the screen was flickering from time to time. That was already happening with the antenna input, not through HDMI.

Also, some glitchiness with a Fire stick on HDMI3 - I hit an app with quick dark screen in stick, the TV goes - no input. Then I had to choose the stick...

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?

                          by howardc64
Good picture but has ~200Hz+ faint flicker/strobing over entire screen. Also has a single green vertical line. Can mask out t-con signals (2pins) to stop flicker/strobing but 1/12 of screen will be all colorful vertical lines (single green vertical line is in this section)

Since can mask t-con signal to disable part of the screen and stop flicker/strobing. Obviously not backlight.

Panel has 4x driver boards each responsible for 1/4 of the screen. 3 tabs on each board. Each tab responsible for 1/12 of the screen. the 2 outer most tabs has additional horizontal gate control...

                          by double_DD
                          Hi all,

Wife has 2 Philips hair curling irons half defective - after learning how they're supposed to work and testing them, it turned out that both have defective power cables, and both on the same place; broken wires due to wire bending.
As they were both relatively easy to disassemble, and cables are plugged not soldered (as they can rotate in the handle), I was sure it would be easy to find replacements. But - NO! I'm unable to find anything similar on ebay or Aliexpress.

Not sure if this is something Philips proprietary, or a standard, but the cable plug...
