    Philips/Magnavox lc370wx1 (sl) (04)

Philips/Magnavox lc370wx1 (sl) (04) lady was dragging to the street, she said it never been worked on (lied). the power light would come on (green) then flash off every 15 seconds the lcd would flicker at that point. open it up took out the power supply low and behold someone replaced he 2200uf 45v cap badly i may add it was loose barley any soldier round it. quick fix right. soldier it put it back hook it up work for about 5 minutes then did the same thing. so i order all the caps for the board figuring the starter caps might be bad to. got them yesterday replaced all of the caps except for the 2.2uf 45v. plug it in same thing. green light power button 15 seconds flash off flicker then green light again. the reason i didn't replace the 2.2uf 45v is because i order it but it came as a 2.2uf 450v instead of 45v. well i didn't figure it would hurt it so i changed it to. i get the same thing except now i get no flicker from the lcd. it has to inverters a master and a slave the master has a blue light which still comes on when it goes through the 15 second flicker cycle. should i replace the caps on the invertor boards to?

"Magnavox lc370wx1" are you sure that is the model number of the TV? That numbers are for the LCD Panel model number.

OK, upload good clear pictures of the back side of the TV so we can see all the boards and how they are all connected together.

OK, the picture of the power supply board, please.
BTW, 45V cap rating does not sound right.
We need to check the 24V out put and the dimming control line feeding the inverter board to see if they are steady.

I forget to ask the pictures of the MASTER and the SLAVE Inverter boards so we can see the pictures of the caps.
                BTW:
"the reason i didn't replace the 2.2uf 45v is because i order it but it came as a 2.2uf 450v instead of 45v. well i didn't figure it would hurt it so i changed it to. i get the same thing except now i get no flicker from the lcd."
I am a little confused about the flicker, are you saying that the backlights are flickering and now it stops flickering or the LED indicator light on the front panel is flickering?

OK, thought for a moment maybe you had used a 2.2uF there which would definitely cause problems.

I see 3 caps on each inverter board, you should replace them unless you have ESR meter to verify them.

OK, that is more than one problem, but I thought you do have backlights but flickering.
I also need the P/N on the inverter board, the pictures of the boards are not clear for me to read numbers, it looks like 662-0283a??
So to get the backlights, we need to find out if it is getting the control signals BL_ON & dim, and 24VDC or not.

I picked up this TV that the prior owner said - just died.

Tested the fuse - burnt. A dead capacitor is visible too on the hot side (CP801). Got the replacement power board (cheaply - used). Replaced the board - the TV turned ON!

Now, about a month later (yesterday) I noticed the left side of the screen was flickering from time to time. That was already happening with the antenna input, not through HDMI.

Also, some glitchiness with a Fire stick on HDMI3 - I hit an app with quick dark screen in stick, the TV goes - no input. Then I had to choose the stick...

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?

Good picture but has ~200Hz+ faint flicker/strobing over entire screen. Also has a single green vertical line. Can mask out t-con signals (2pins) to stop flicker/strobing but 1/12 of screen will be all colorful vertical lines (single green vertical line is in this section)

Since can mask t-con signal to disable part of the screen and stop flicker/strobing. Obviously not backlight.

Panel has 4x driver boards each responsible for 1/4 of the screen. 3 tabs on each board. Each tab responsible for 1/12 of the screen. the 2 outer most tabs has additional horizontal gate control...

                                          Hi all,

Wife has 2 Philips hair curling irons half defective - after learning how they're supposed to work and testing them, it turned out that both have defective power cables, and both on the same place; broken wires due to wire bending.
As they were both relatively easy to disassemble, and cables are plugged not soldered (as they can rotate in the handle), I was sure it would be easy to find replacements. But - NO! I'm unable to find anything similar on ebay or Aliexpress.

Not sure if this is something Philips proprietary, or a standard, but the cable plug...
