    Samsung TV power cycling

    Samsung LE32A656.

When plugged in, turned off, there is just the red LED. When I turn the TV on, it blinks 5 times, TV turns off, shows picture but exactly after 17 seconds it restarts, blinks again 5 times, shows picture, 17 seconds later restart etc etc.

Mainboard model is BN94-01741a. Found one from ebay for a reasonable price but I have to be 100% sure the fault is in the mainboard. Can you confirm my suspicion?

For extra information, all caps look good on mainboard, power board and inverterboard. I will post pictures later if needed.

I will wait until I see the pictures, bad cap can look normal.

This reminds of another Samsung I had with a similair problem.
I disabled the watchdog in service menu, and it went well afterwards.
Thing is you need to be really fast to succeed in the short timeframe of 17 secs.

Can it be done without samsung remote control? For example with an android device with IR and remote control app?

        Edit: Thank you very much!!

Used an app called Samsung IR - Universal Remote, disabled watchdogs and now it doesn't turn off anymore.
