I do not have one, but I could order one from Amazon if necessary.
Edit: I just ordered a service remote. It should come tomorrow. What should I do when I get it?Last edited by x_orange90_x; 11-15-2025, 10:32 AM.Comment

I got my service remote today. However, last night I decided to clean all of the ribbons with alcohol and afterwards the image appeared much better and the brightness control is now working properly. I noticed it looks exceptionally well with certain content but not so much with other content. It looks like an auto dimming feature, and I did notice the settings automatically change based on the content. I've read about LGs having certain undesirable features that you can only disable in the service menu. Is there anything I should change or disable considering I have this new remote?Comment

Yes, and I only got around to doing anything with the tv Saturday night 😂 most of my communication on here is while I'm away from home and so I gather ideas and put them all into practice whichever night of the week I'm back in front of the tv.Comment

Indeed, this is a good example of doing simple things first, a good cleaning and fixed. Glad it was an easy fix for you.

I've literally just received in the post a UNI-T UTi260B (it's currently on charge).
After quickly scanning the user manual I see there are all sorts of configurable settings (Measurement settings, Palette settings, Point temperature settings and Image Mode). As this is my first Thermal Imaging Camera I have no idea what all these settings are nor if I need to change/configure any of them.
I intend/hope to use this to help me diagnose issues with laptop motherboards so should I just leave the settings as the default or is there someone out there with a UNI-T thermal...09-02-2025, 08:36 AM -
by i440bxHey there,
I got a HP Elitebook 820 G3 Engineering Sample Laptop and I want to use it. Besides the difficult things at the ES-BIOS I have a big problem by saving the main BIOS settings.
The laptop does not have a big battery because it was dead, but I already plugged in a new CMOS battery.
It takes about 5min without power and the BIOS settings are lost. Unfortunatly I dont understand why the BIOS settings are only saved with power connected and this is the reason why I registered here.
As written above, I plugged in a new CMOS cell and checked...3 Photos -

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.
I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...-

by max789Hello, I have a problem with my Samsung UE48H6410SSXZG with the main board BN41-02156A and the power board BN44-00709A. Everything seemed like this, the TV could no longer be switched on, the standby LED always flashed 5x2 times. Backlight was off and no sound from TV. Also made the flashlight test and there was no picture.
I made the following tests:
1. Disconnected the main board from Power Board = backlight works.
2. Connected the main board and disconnected the T-Con = backlights does not work.
So I ordered a main board from Ebay also BN41-02156A but from... -
by bpcannan'Morning,
I get sound and picture when powering on the TV and its stays that EXCEPT that the left half of the screen will dim every few seconds then return to normal while the right side of the screen performs as designed.
Did the soft and hard reset options pulling the plug, using the reet option in the vizio menu to no avail.
I checked the mainboard - found some popped capacitors so replaced it - but that did not change the situation.
I checked the t-con board. It is getting good power. Then I removed one ribbon cable to see if I could isolate... - Loading...
