So what is it doing, works correctly for 10-30 minutes or black screen all the time?

When it goes black take a flashlight to screen and get really close. Do you have a picture? It will be very dim so take your time looking for it

When go black, than is no picture even no with flashlight, backlight is off.

I think because TV is mounted in the wall in a drywall niche, and have ony half a cm free space. I think its overheated at the back. Now i have it withaout a back cover ona a table, and now is turned on 4hours and everything is fine.
now radiators on montherboard come to 80degrees. I think when is in the wall this temps goes way up.

I would look for the picture again when it's black. I am a TV installer and we install all TVs as close to the wall as they can get . Going black with sound is a indication of backlights going bad.. so I would look again when it happens again. Is this an edgelit tv?

Does the LCD turn off or does the backlight turn off?!

@EazyBone it's and FALD tv with LD board, same principle as that 85x90CK you did the other day. If it was backlight error, it should trigger 4x red blink

No need of flash light, it is bad screen lcd, or in second option bad cpu soldering, especially if no separate tcon, but Sony usually has it separate.. third option bad bga on tcon.. same two damn fault types as always, no chance for these crap products..

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
                        by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Sony xbr65x900c sound yes, no backlight or image.
                        by nomoresonys
Another troublesome sony: Just the facts. Tv was on, went off with 4 red blinks, messed around unplugging boards, testing cleaning, 4 red blinks went away, next turn on would get blinking green amber, then tried updating, nothing seemed to change so stopped that. Next I would turn it on get the steady amber/green blinking, I hit power on remote and it changes to steady dim white light, would get the android music but nothing but a black screen, no backlight, no image with a torch that I could see. Then made a mistake not letting it dry long enough after cleaning with iso alch and blew up the...

Sony KD-75XF9005 grey Picture but Sound. TCON or panel?
                        by iglitare
                        Hi,

i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.

Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
Or is it always a bad/shorted...

                        by Kartowl
Hi, my TV image started showing those lines and the image faded away, but sound is still coming from it, what could be the cause and is it fixable? I thought it could be the tcon board but I red on the internet that it could be a failing panel

Sony SLV-E780 Power Supply Issue – Clicking Sound, Need Help Identifying Faulty Component
                        by Akuanka
                        Hi everyone,

I'm troubleshooting a power supply issue with a Sony SLV-E780 VCR. The device clicks repeatedly but doesn't power up completely. I've already replaced five capacitors, but the problem persists.

Here's a video link https://photos.app.goo.gl/3Xki6yvCLn67gLX78 showcasing the sound. Based on your experience, could this be due to a transformer, diode, or another component? Any guidance on what to test or replace next would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!
