LED problem, take the back off and post photos of the boards as detailed as you can.

Not a backlight issue either, I don't have access to set yet. Mainboard as a guess?

A lot of newer "no picture with backlight" faults are bad panels....

When it powers up, very dark blue display, you can tell it wants to do something, but no graphics. An associate, mentor commented 99% chance that it's a power supply issue.
          Any thoughts?

Re: Samsung UN55ES6100F - has power and audio, no picture

A little confused, some of these ES series the T-Con is part of the panel? Can anyone confirm the following?

Troubleshooting T-Con/Panel can begin by measuring the operating voltage in from the
Main Board LVDS Cable at both sides of FP1.
-If the 12V supply appears on both sides of the fuse (with meter reference to chassis
ground), a correct supply is given and used by the T-Con.
-If the 12V only appears at the LVDS Cable End of the Fuse. The fuse is open and TCon/
Panel needs to be replaced. Sometime replacing a fuse will correct the failure,
however, before proceeding, check for any bulletins related to this condition.
-If the 12V does not appear on either end of the fuse, the LVDS Cable and Main Board feeds
need to be checked and LVDS Cable or Main board replaced. ALSO: check that the 12V
supply feed from the Power Supply to the Main board is present.

I'm going to try a T-Con, will confirm operation when I receive.

T-Con was the issue, replaced with new (TriState), success!

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                      by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
                      by PantherDave
                      Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                      Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

Samsung Odyssey G9 (c49g95tssr) no picture or backlight. Power LED shows
                      by grimreaper420
                      hey guys,

i bought 2 samsung odyssey g9's for a decent price. they both have the exact same fault. when plugged into a power source, the blue led powerlight shows, but when turned on there is no picture, no backlight, no menu, nothing. when plugged into a laptop the laptop recognises the monitor, but keeps disconnecting and reconnecting.

dont have any schematics or diagrams unfortunately. any ideas?

                      thanks

un60j620dafxza - Samsung No Display Problem
                      by stylishconsultant
                      Hi All,

                      Need help.

I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.

So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard....
