    LG tv main board replacement

My question is if I can use a main board with the same set up, but different part number in my 42" LG tv.

Lightning struck in my back yard. I believe a surge went through my now fried satellite box, and up the hdmi cord, and fried the main board on my 42LK520-UA model LG tv. I when I try to turn on the tv, the power light just blinks. I have already replaced the power supply, and it didn't fix it, so I am quite certain it is the main board. The board number on my main board is EAX64290501(0), and it has the part numbers EBT61525911 and EBR73308809. I have looked everywhere for these exact part numbers, and they are out stock everywhere. I have noticed though if I merely search for "42lk520-ua main board" I find main boards for sale easily, but with different part numbers. Will one of these work?

I would contact shopjimmy, they are really helpful on getting the correct board.

The one on the second just might work. The board number had nothing to do with the programming, and the third number usa apparently also on some boards for 47" tvs, so it might only be the part number of a component.

Re: LG tv main board replacement

Typical board will have white silkscreen numbers printed directly on the board, that will be the P/N and the revision number of the blank board without parts installed, then there will be barcode sticker with numbers and barcode printed on the sticker, that will be the PCBA (PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLY) P/N.
Same blank board can be used by more than one model of the TV, the board will be stuffed with different components for the needed function of the particular TV, that is why you should look for the PCBA P/N, then there will be REV number to indicate which revision the board is in case the design or the improvement may have been made.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
            by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

            Assuming...

LG 55NANO77SRA TV – Menu scrolling by itself even after removing button board (Main Board EBU66792103)
            by ygorsan
            Hi everyone,

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).

            🧩 Problem Summary:
            • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
            • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
            • The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.

            Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
            by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
            CN6401
            Pin 01 NC
            Pin 02 NC
            Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
            Pin 04 "N/C"
            Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
            Pin 06 "GND": N/C
            Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...

(SOLVED) - ONN 100012588 No Power, Then Rebooting After Main Board Change

Issue: No Power, Then Rebooting After Main Board Change

Short answer: replace main board and power board
Technical answer: replace main board and Q306 & Q307 on power board.

            Long answer:

TV wouldn't turn on. Power switch was fine which means the main board isn't processing the power on signal. Replaced main board. TV turns on now but randomly reboots. Bad main board? EEPROM? Tried to pull main board and got a shock touching the corner of the board. That's weird. C334 (450V 10uf) capacitor is still holding a high charge....

Philips 65PUS8518/12 distorted image after main board replacement
            by tuner2000i
            hello everyone,

I don't normally do tv repairs but this is a case with my personal TV which got fried together with many other electronics in my house after a thunderstorm.

The TV is a Philips 65PUS8518/12 which had no power. I measured and concluded that the main board was probably fried through ethernet or hdmi. I found a board with same number 715GD328-M0F-B00-005Y (I had G) but from a 55PUS8518. The TV starts but the image is doubled, distorted. I need to set the panel code which is 016 according to the sticker on the back but I can not seem to do it.
