RCA 32 " tv flashing screen RLC3210

I have a 32 " RCA tv that when i turn it on I can watch it for 3 to 4 days and than the whole screen flashes every 2 seconds .I unplug it and let it sit 3 days and turn it back on and can watch it again for 3 or 4 days until it starts flashing again. Anyone have any idea what part is over heating or what the problem is ?

everything works perfect until this happens .

Could you supply some photos of the circuit boards inside the TV?

Do you mean it is on showing a picture for 24 hours a day for 4 days solid?
Why do you wait 3 days to try it again? tried 1 day

yes i left it on for 4 dasys solid and tried it the next day and it would still flash

Do you have a digital multimeter?
If I were to guess I would say the big 450V capacitor. It has caused faults like this before.

If I were to guess I would say the big 450V capacitor. It has caused faults like this before.

Tom the big 450V tested shows 358V steady

I have 3 other tv`s with the big CAP which 1 do i replace this one with Please ?

Do not use a second hand cap, buy a new one, because you cannot be sure whether the 2nd hand capacitor has "voltage formed" which could lead to rapid failure. Digikey will sell it for a few bucks.

You will need to lift up the old capacitor and see what is printed underneath it.

If you need any help locating a new one just let us know what the ratings are of the old capacitor.

I have the same problem whit the same model it would be very nice form your part to have your result of the last tips you got.

I have opened my t.v looked for blown up capacitor and everything is all right no capacitor is blown . i have unplug and plug all the cords and it still does it now im trying to unclip the t-con board band and re-clip it and look like it works for the moment im gonna post back if something goes wrong again...

and it still doesnt work...it restarted to flash after 20 minutes...

after seeking solution i've found that it might be the power board or power supplies board that failed... going to the shop tomorrow to find out :L

I'd be checking all the voltages before and during on the power supply when this "blinking" occours. Maybe that sheds some light to pinpoint one or all the voltage rails.

I finally found the solution,
is the chip L6599D L6599 ORIGINAL ST High-voltage resonant controller SOP-16 on the power supply,
it cost me $ 2.
