Luck of the draw really, it's a lot rarer on some models (very rare on Kuros; infrequent on PZ80s; frequent on PZ70s & G10s, and Samsung A400 plasmas.)
    You're right, I've got a 46PZ800 as a ready reserve. I think 8500hrs

my last tv was a P50VT10A , previous model but broke the screen due to falling over
Oh, my bad. i assumed it was another VT20 you were going to salvage boards from this. You might get good money for the Sc board and buffers from the VT10 and this one too if anyone is after one.

I was hoping the parts may be interchangeable incase i could swap some bits around ... but totally different i beleive

all good , i will just have to put up with the line for a while and having the projector sitting on the coffee table when the line starts to annoy me or watching a movie..

Definitely VT10, not V10? A G10 with a good panel could be a better thing to look out for if you really wanted to salvage a plasma with the old boards. You'd have to check what SC yours has or PZ80/800 series with 2 or 10 blink which can commonly be a simple cap replacement on the PSU.

A V20 with 4 or 10 blink can be common Sc board short.

Don't see a lot of good stuff on ebay now.

Not exactly close to brisbane but this sounds like it will be infamous PSU issue.

This one, could be as simple as a poorly seated LVDS lead or dirty connector. May also end up with a PSU fault if it has not already had a fix.

This one, most likely failed SC board and or buffers. Can be component repaired if able to do that sort of work.

you are correct, it is a P50V10A not a P50VT10A

I will keep an eye out for another g10 or v20 with a good panel in the mean time tho..

i am hooked on the plasmas, you cant go past the deep blacks...

V20 , if you score might be able to help out if it's just the SC required. The SC in the VT20 is a different version due to 3D.

You'd have to quiz them and see if there is a blink code. A dead short can also cause a solid LED , no blinks. Not sure how reliable that model is long term. My experience stops at the 2010 models.

Should be a few posts though for 2011 models with failed SC or buffers.
