    Hisense 58A6KV

    No picture ,tv appears to turn on and off using remote as standby led goes from red to nothing when on and red again when off
    . Backlights also light up when tv is powered on.
    Removing panel ribbon cable from left side screen still dark.
    Removing panel ribbon cable from right side the right panel is white and left panel is dark but within a few seconds the left panel has a large green vertical bar and beside it many thin red lines.This whole screen dims down to dark within a few seconds and the right side slowly turns white again.
    . Tcon gets 12 volt
    . Tried taping method on both left and right clk lines 1 to 8 still no picture only several thin red lines.
    Bad Panel?

    With these tvs when you disconnect the ribbon you generally get half a picture without any modifications.. but my bet is bad panel

      That would be my guess too.Fellow brought it to me hoping it could be fixed but I'll give him the bad news tomorrow .The guy barely got 18 months out of it .Thanks .

        Maybe bad cpu, or bad tcon, i let you notice in factory they forgot to mount the protection diode VD5 so can be a polluted Flash chip, or bad power section, first try the tcon self test method, connect a wire from main board to tcon input fuse, to get a 12v supply, then disconnect mb lvds cable, turn on and see if RGBWB test begins, if not you can test on tcon these points V1.8, VAA, HVAA, V1.2, V3.3, therr are no Von, Voff, you may search them on the panel strip boards..

          Removed lvds cable and applied 12v to tcon board .Powered on tv and screen still dark however unplugging power cord and plugging back in tv powers on and screen shows a dirty yellow,then switches to red then fades away all in a few seconds.

          V1.2 measures 1.145v
          HVAA """" 3.3v
          VAA. 15.26v
          V1.8. 1.845v
          V3.3. 3.42v

              When I unplug the tv and then plug it back in HVAA reads 7.96v
              The standby led blinks 6 times then HVAA drops down to 3.3v
              Standby led blinks 2 more times and remains off.
              HVAA remains at 3.3v with the tv powered on or in standby mode.

                If i recall 6 flash are the backlight, i have to search on this forum, my doubt is now also main power supply..

                  IC5 which I believe is the DC to DC convertor chip on the right lcd controller board(pics attached)gets very very hot Around 80 degrees C in a very short time.
                  . I checked all the caps in that area as well as the rest of the controller boards and none are shorted .I couldn't find any data on that chip other than its made by CEC-CHOT a Chinese lcd panel maker.
                  . The chip is labeled 12102,Z190C0 and is 48 pin smd ic.
                  . Nor sure if chip itself is bad or a short somewhere else is making it bad.
                  . I also think possibly the HVAA voltage going low is due to the chip and causing the lcd to turn off due to low panel voltage.

                        i was searching hisense led codes past days and i found a discussion with 6 blinks, that was too long to read, but ended changing leds..

                        i am puzzled by this thread, i never seen half tcon on a separated board and half on panel glued boards, i do not understand how can it be possible..

                          After searching the internet far and wide unable to find the chip ic5 on the right controller board.
                          . The chip manufacturer CHOT is also the lcd manufacturer so highly unlikely chip is available to the public
                          So unless I come across a cracked lcd panel with a good chip(highly unlikely)then I can't confirm the chip is the only problem but it does appear the chip gets very very hot and the HVAA voltage reduces precenting the lcd screen from coming on ..
                          . So I will leave it at that and at least that's some info if anyone experiences a no picture situation on this particular model.And thanks everyone for any and all help you gave me .Always appreciated.

                              have you marked each cap after checking it? otherwise is impossible to trace them..

                                The led blinking I was just using as a reference for when the HVAA voltage dropped from 8v down to 3.3v.
                                . The led blinks a total of 8 times whenever power cord is unplugged and plugged back in.But at the 6th blink that's when HVAA voltage drops down to 3.3 v.
                                . So its not a 6 blink trouble code it's 8 blinks every time power is restored to the mainboard /powersupply.When in standby mode led is red and when powered on with remote led goes out.
                                . I have gone over the ceramic capacitors several times hoping to find a shorted one and a quick fix but no such luck.So my guess is part of the chip is shorting out to ground though I have no chip data to check this.
                                . The test you got me to do by removing the lvds cable and applying 12v to the tcon board helped a lot even though the forced screen test rgbrgb only lasted a few seconds before HVAA was reduced and picture went dim.But lasted long enough that I could see the entire screen in yellow suggesting it wasnt an lcd problem..
                                If only I could find that chip IC5 and replace it

                                  The fault can be on an external power diode or mosfet, and makes heaten the control chip, so have to check in diode mode.for example Q1, Q3, Q4, Q5, every big diode SS24/SS34 etc.. every combination that marks 0v is a short..

                                    Hisense VIDAA didn't have any blinking error code... so long the LED change from blue to red mean always trying to reboot.

                                      D13 is reading short in both directions .I'll remove it and check diode off board to confirm whether it's D13 or the board itself.Diode is labeled SSL34B

                                        So it is soldered on both sides to ground... Plays the role of a limiter, a height support...
