Check the tab bond board at the top of the screen, the 37hl i had the board that the tcon outputs attached to was warped pretty bad, I didn't have any issues with that screen but I did see it putting a lot of stress on those bonds.


I used high temp rubber shims between the top of the frame and board and it flattened them out straight again to avoid any damage.

Seems to be a common problem with these older toshiba panels the heat warps those thin boards pretty badly.

a tab bond issue won't make the entire screen go white like this one does.

It can actually - I've had a Chimei 26" panel cause it.

I only mentioned this since he said he flexed the frame and the picture became unfrozen.

I did not notice that, exactly the same symptoms I had with Chimei 26". And unlike most tab bond repairs I have done it seems to be long-term reliable, I haven't had one fail (done 4 now, I think)

It was the upper right ribbon cable. I put on some padding on that cable and works good now.
