Howdy, I am trying to get some information (part#/rating) on a capacitor on the Samsung BN44-00424A Power Supply Board. The capacitor is CP803, it blew out and I'm hoping that replacing it will fix my problem
. Thanks for any assistance in advance.

That is the high voltage snubber cap for the diode DP801.
Did it blow up badly that you cannot read any printing on it? Picture of it may help

Thanks Budm, I'll try to upload a picture later tonight. Yes, it blew up and all that is left is some parts of the blue. There is charring all around it, but none of the other parts seem to have received damage.Comment

Re: Samsung LED TV UN55D6000SFXZA Pwr Sup Board BN44-00424A
I just look at the diagram of BN44-00428B, it has the same setup as your board. That cap is 220pF 1000V.
I would go for 2000V for more reliability.

Re: Samsung LED TV UN55D6000SFXZA Pwr Sup Board BN44-00424A
So, just installed the capacitor and had the fuse checked. The fuse was bad, so I went to radioshack and got a fuse, only problem is that the fuse didn't match up exactly. The fuse I got was a glass with low breaking capacity, the one in the circuit card is a ceramic with high breaking capacity. I tried the fuse blew instantly, so I'm hoping that replacing the fuse will solve my problem, no other noted damages. I'll post an update when I get one, let me know if you have any ideas.Comment

Re: Samsung LED TV UN55D6000SFXZA Pwr Sup Board BN44-00424A
Just replace them, then you could use the series lightbulb trick to see if there is any more problems, if so then the switching transistor or IC probably blew as well"Tantalum for the brave, Solid Aluminium for the wise, Wet Electrolytic for the adventurous"

Re: Samsung LED TV UN55D6000SFXZA Pwr Sup Board BN44-00424A
I replaced the PS board and now have power. However there is still an issue and not sure if it's the PS board I installed or something else. So now my UN55D6000 TV has sound but a black screen with images that can be barely seen. Would this be a problem with the Power Supply board or the Inverter boards (left & right). From a youtube video, I unplugged the connector from the main board to the PS board and the screen was still black. I also unplugged the left inverter and still a black screen. I then reconnected the left and unplugged the right inverter and still a black screen. Do you think this is the power board/LED driver? Would you know which pins to measure the voltage of that drive the LED's and what that voltage should be? Thanks in advance.Comment

Re: Samsung LED TV UN55D6000SFXZA Pwr Sup Board BN44-00424A
Are the inverter boards getting any power from the supply?
Measure all voltages on the connectors to the inverters and post here what they are along with pin names. Include photos of the connectors\boards if you can."Tantalum for the brave, Solid Aluminium for the wise, Wet Electrolytic for the adventurous"

Re: Samsung LED TV UN55D6000SFXZA Pwr Sup Board BN44-00424A
It is LED backlights so it does not have Inverter for High Voltage for the CCFL.
So is John is working on the same model TV power supply board or not.
OP power supply board is BN-44-00424A.

If is not the same model then he should start a new thread.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by m1ch43lzmHi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic... -
by ohrenI hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.
I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.
The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively.... -

by NicktronicHey everyone,
This power supply board is hard to find but there are repair kits available. This board had a blown fuse, FP801S, blown PFC MOSFET, QP802CS and ceramic cap, CP809. I replaced them with parts I already had and tested the rest of the parts that would've come in the repair kit and they were fine. I powered the board up on the bench expecting, in typical Samsung power supply board fashion, to see all my output voltages but, nothing. 0 volts on CNL801, CNM801 and CNT801. The only thing I have is 170vdc on the filter caps. No standby voltage either.
