Polaroid TLX-0424B

I could not find any service info for theis set. It has Stby 5vdc and the MB does tell the PS/INV to turn on witha 3vdc command. I does turn on the other 5vdc and the 12dvc to be supplied to MB. There is no backlight.
On the PS led13 is blinking. ShopJimmy has quite a few versions of boards and control box assy (MB and PS/Inv combo) but not for this one of course!
Is the Led D13 normal or showing a fault? If a fault does anyone know what it is telling me.

that's a very satanic design, putting caps under the heatsinks like that!

was it you that tried to repair it?
it looks like someone has removed atleast one of the transistors and been a bit over zelous with the silicone-grease putting it back!

does it work - other than the backlight?

As far as I know it has not been worked on before. I have not done anything but check the transistors and capacitors etc. If anyone had worked on it prior to them bringing the set in, I am not aware of it. That heat sink compound is the way it was when I opened it. Backlight does not work. PS is turning on the 5 and 12vdc but the PS and INV are one board. I cant find info on set and Blinking LED # 13.

You may try asking SJ to see what SJ will say about the blinking LED, SJ is very helpful answering question.
