hitachi 32HDT21M cycles through colours

Hi I have the above plasma which was kept in storage for a year.
When I switched it on it cycles through colours on the display continuously accompanied by a high pitched whine which changes tone with the colours and gets louder the longer I leave the set on. I have no display apart from this . Ive have had a quick look and cannot see anything obvious. Also worth noting that this set worked fine before going into storage.
Please can somebody offer some guidance .

seeing as it's been in the cold maybe check for cold/broken solder joints on the back of the board?

thanks for the quick reply. I will check this out. this is the first plasma I have had dealings with and didn't want to go in blind so to speak.

I found this for a 32HDT20, does this tv have a seperate controller?

Symptom: DEEP BLOOD RED IMAGE, HUM FROM PLASMA DISPLAY, NO OSD OR VIDEO
Cause: CHECK 8 PIN DIN CORD FOR BENT PIN AND 8 PIN JACK ON BOTH UNITS FOR OPEN CONNECTION

Consider the possibility of loose connectors or moisture ingress.
