That's what I'm leaning toward. Haven't heard back from the seller since I told him this board had heat damage. There were not pictures of the bottom in his listing. Think I now know why 🙄
Edit: I sent the picture of the heat damage to the seller and this was the reply:
To be honest, that does not look good at all. I had 3 of these from a walmart return pallet I bought of new sets with broken screens. I unboxed them my self. But anything is possible. I will ship the power supply out as soon as the USPS opens back up tomorrow but I do not think it will help.
If it does not just let me know and I will take care of it.
I did call P&F tech today and he told me that it would/did not cross. But with the same panel and tcon I thought it should work. I could have a different software version though.

Yea there is no chart anywhere on either side calling out the pins for that connector. Likewise I cannot find a schematic on Google. The seller is shipping the power supply today, so I should have it within a couple days.Comment

Here ya go:
J614 RESET - 3.31V
J615 ALL +3.3V - 3.31V
J609 AMP +13V - 14.38V
J616 P-ON-H2 - 3.28V
JS652 P-ON +21V for UHD - 19.8V
J605 BL-SW - 172mV
J603 01013-C - 0.00mV
J606 BL-ADJ - 155.1mV
I did not check J610 GND because I thought that might be a bad idea 😬

The seller shipped the power supply and I should get it by Friday. Do you think though that it's a main board issue not telling the power supply to turn on? If it is the main board that's the issue then trying the new power supply would be pointless. Power supplies doing have firmware so I really do doubt that it's a compatibility issue..
I do believe he has a couple more main boards as he said he bought 3 of these TVs at once.Comment

I received the power supply yesterday. Absolutely no change. Has to be a faulty main board. I contacted the seller again and he refunded my money and told me to keep both boards. I found another board and ordered it already. It should arrive next week, so I'll be back when it shows up.Comment

I considered reflowing it, and I might try that tonight just for fun. The burn on the back is what I'm more concerned about. It got HOT and therefore may be damaged, or the solders might not melt right. Even if it works I'll be sticking with the new one because who knows how long this would last. It is, for the sake of diagnostics and knowing what actually was wrong, worth trying though. My new board should arrive Monday according to FedEx.Comment

Got the new board today, and in fact, they sent me the whole kit with power supply, tcon, and ribbons/wires! I couldn't use the tcon because the ribbons to the panel were slightly smaller, so I left mine installed.
And... IT'S ALIVE!
It's updating now, which I'm sure is to the latest Android version... But it's not a Hynix chip so I think I'll be fine.
Edit: it updated to Android 9 and it's up and running now, but it wants to update to 11... I don't see an option to disable automatic updates 😬 I'm still leery about it updating as 11 caused issues for so many people.Last edited by x_orange90_x; 11-19-2024, 09:28 PM.Comment

by spice_discI'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.
The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...1 Photo -
by ModelvincentHi,
I'm still having a problem with my philips 46FPL8605 TV.
It works correctly most of the time, but sometime, the screen goes black, the ambilight led do some scrap, then after some seconds the audio shutdown and the TV restart.
After that, my freebox pop says me that the HDMI has been disconnected.
This is not a temperature problem, sometimes, it appears just after startup, sometime after 1 hour. Sometimes it reboots 1 ou twice in 4 hours, sometimes it's 4 time in less than than 1hour...

by ictcI received this laptop, which initially boots into Windows normally, but after a few minutes, the system freezes with no display and no response except for power button. When this happens, power consumption rises to about 1A (without the battery connected), and the CPU becomes noticeably hotter compared to when the machine is operating normally.
I have already tried removing the additional RAM module, which initially showed some promise, but the issue persisted after a reboot. I also attempted replacing the BIOS, but this did not resolve the problem.
When the system crashes,...01-31-2025, 11:29 AM -
by aidanmoHello,
I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.- Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
- Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
- Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar

by reessiHi everyone,
This TV had the well known power supply issue, took ages to turn on etc until one day it never turned on, I removed and tested all output caps on the PSU with an ESR meter and replaced the ones I've marked in blue on the photo (they are the new ones).
After this it turns on fine but no signal is displayed when selecting VGA or HDMI 1 & 2 but the laptop always correctly sees the tv and brings up the name and resolution...
My new flatmate assured me the hdmi's had previously worked after waiting a long time for the TV to turn on but he... - Loading...
