    Philips 55pfl5766/f7 Software crashes

I received this tv stuck in a boot loop and was able to get it working after letting it sit and reboot several times. Whenever I try do things in the settings it will crash back to the main screen, lock up, or reboot itself. I tried doing a Reset on it and after it rebooted nothing was changed. The Google account used was still present, and the downloaded apps were all still there. I can sometimes get further into settings such as setting up my wifi, not most times it will crash and reboot. I even manually removed the Google account and it CAME BACK after rebooting the tv. Before it rebooted one time it popped up a message about Storage being low. Yesterday I was away from home and came back to it powered on and stuck on the Androidtv loading screen.

I've read that the last update to Android 11 messed up a lot of these TVs. I can't seem to find any firmware for it online. If I could find it, I would try flashing an older build. Anyone have this model or a similar one that they've encountered these issues with and possibly resolved?

Attached is a pic of the software information.

I'm not sure which number it would be, so I've attached a picture of the sticker.

try hard reset , unplug it from wall socket for 1 minute.... press the joystick and pull it down... keep it in theis position... plug the tv back to wall t, release the pressing you did only after the front LED change color from white to green.... leave it it could reboot 2-3 time even you can hear start Melodie of first setup.

sorry this method will not work on your set, you need to do it from recovery.
1- at setting go to the page of were you show it the info,,, at build inf click on it 0-10 time to enable developer option, go to to the developer option and check USB adb. connect your set with yours router and remark the IP address... from PC which it should connected to same router you can run ADB .
adb connect XXXXXXXX ( yours TV IP )
              after it connected send
              adb boot recovery

read more how to install ADB on PC and its command.

I tried getting into settings to enable ADB, not any time I press a button on the remote the tv freezes or reboots. I had an idea to remove the batteries and put them into an old Magnavox remote I have.. Sure enough the Magnavox remote works the tv AND while using it the TV isn't freezing or rebooting. However, I still cannot remove the original Google account saved on it, and likewise Reset on settings does NOT reset anything.

I'm assuming this means the software is still corrupt, and it doesn't play well with it's own Bluetooth remote especially.

Edit: nevermind that, it's back to rebooting again even with the other remote. I guess I have to try and get it back to where it stays on and functions so I can get it connected to the PC.

I got it connected but it's not entering recovery like expected.

When I send the adb reboot recovery command the tv reboots normally right back to the home screen. I tried twice and it still doesn't enter recovery.

It acts like it's stuck in a READ ONLY state. No changes are saved after rebooting. Wi-Fi connection, account, even Developer Mode gets reset after rebooting the tv.

I unfortunately don't have one of those or the knowledge of using it. Looks like my only option is to buy a replacement main board and hope it's not updated

then try to log in SAM press fast “062596”, directly followed by the “INFO/OK” there you will see if there are error buffer register and option to clear them.... to get out from SAM press exit

and also you have other Option Factory mode you can make hard reset and clear operation hours etc... from the “menu/home” press “1999”, directly followed by the “Back/Return” button

I attempted to enter those codes but the damn thing won't stay on long enough to do anything now. I can barely get the home screen to load before it reboots. I'll try it again later.

I'm skeptical to buying a replacement board too because the chances of this happening again seem pretty high given the widespread failure after the last update.
