A small turn, forgot to mention, the best thing to do is run the TV while doing it looking in a mirror, looking for any changes in the picture. You can turn it on/off a lot of times but it gets extremely tedious.

      Re: LG 50PC3D Issue

Nothing very noticable, definitely not "fixed".

When adjusting the down, I could get some sparklies to show up. That's about all I could notice.

        Re: LG 50PC3D Issue

Been messing with it more, nothing makes any difference other than the down.
The lines, split screen, and pink are still present and don't really change when making adjustments.

I'm sorry but I don't know what is causing your problem then. An oscilloscope would be necessary. My guess would be some fault with the Y-sustain but I'm not certain at all.

Seeing as I just bought a YSUS off of ebay, would you recommend that I return it and get another one?

The fault between your Y-SUS boards is the same?

I'm not sure what you're asking.

I was getting a black screen, could very faintly see the image, with black spots all over.
Replaced YSUS with part from ebay, which resulted in the image you see in the original picture.

I assumed it was buffers, as they are recommended to be replaced as well, but after installing the new buffers there is no noticeable change.

You had an image with faint black spots? Like a warming up lava lamp? Normally, I would call that a Z-sustain fault.

Well it is no longer an issue with this new YSUS board. From my understanding the ZSUS is related to backlight issues.

The screen was always "lit" up, it was lacking color would be a better description.

The Z-sus can cause a variety of faults. Any chance you took a photo of the original fault?

Unfortunately no I don't. Didn't even think about it until after I saw the lines and pink hahaa.

I do have the old board though. Would it be worth my time to put it back in?

On the same note, what would I be seeing if the buffers were bad?

Bad buffers cause vertical lines repeating down the panel but with NO visible panel data; you have a visible image even if it is distorted. I think the Y-sustain is bad.

How would you know there are vertical lines if there is nothing visible on screen?

I'm definitely seeing vertical lines, pink hue, and the split screen.

I'll go ahead and contact the ebay seller about returning or exchanging the YSUS.

Any thoughts on what's causing the split screen or pink? Are they related?

If you could not see the Mazda? logo, you would have bad buffers, but since you can, something else is wrong.

                                Well that's a bummer.

Sounds like I should go ahead and throw in the towel, try to minimize the cost damage.

Unless you have any other ideas?

The first folks to reply in this thread mention the control board, are you still feeling like that is not an issue here?

I'd really like to get this working, but if it's just gonna be running in circles and spending $, then maybe it's time to bail.

The ebay seller is going to let me return the YSUS.
He did not have any others to do an exchange, so I'll be getting my $ back minus shipping.

Would you recommend that I try another YSUS? Or just move on?

Ok, no problem. I should be able to return the parts I've purchased and only be out the shipping costs.
At least I learned a lot!!

On a side note, do you have a brand or model that you strongly recommend when purchasing a used TV?

                                            Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

                                            🛠 Original Issue
                                            The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
                                            by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

                                            Hello guys!
I have a strange issue with my laptop keyboard and I'm lost trying to detect what's wrong - the KB9028Q-C or the keyboard itself.
It powers on OK and has no other issues except the following:
                                            • CAPS LOCK does not work at all
                                            • Fn button toggles Flight Mode
                                            • When I press 't' or '5', it produces 't5', and when I press 'y' or '6', it produces 'y6'
                                            • (with SHIFT pressed: 't%' and 'y^' respectively)
I initially thought it was a keyboard malfunction (internal short, etc.),
but when I press and hold...

Alienware 15 R2 Service Tag: DL7NN32 ISSUE (Battery is not charging)

                                            Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with my Alienware 15 R2 (Service Tag: DL7NN32). The laptop works perfectly when connected to the AC adapter — it powers on and functions normally. However, the battery does not charge. If I disconnect the DC adapter, the laptop shuts down immediately, as the battery is at 0%. I have replaced the battery with a new compatible one, but the issue persists. I also replaced the AC adapter with a compatible one, but the battery still doesn't charge.

To assist with troubleshooting, I'm attaching two power circuit schematics:

Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100 - BIOS Issue, Black Screen

                                            Hello everyone,

I am experiencing a BIOS-related issue with my Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100. When I power on the laptop, the screen stays black, and there is no response from the system. I suspect a corrupted BIOS.

I have checked the forum and the available documentation but could not find a solution specific to my issue.
