    LG 50PC3D Issue

Hello! I recently came across this TV and decided to get my hands dirty and see what it takes to fix it while learning more about plasma tv's in the process.

So far I've learned a ton and mostly from these forums, so thanks in advance!

    It's an LG 50pc3d UD

I have replaced the YSUS and both YDRV / Y-buffers.
Was a bit bummed out when I replaced the buffers, there was no change at all. They were only $21 a piece so I'm not too burnt.

Attached is where I'm currently at, and I'm pretty baffled at this point. Pink lines, split screen.
There is audio and clearly a picture behind it. I've tested antenna and hdmi with the same results.
Inspected all caps etc, no visible damage or issues there.
I'm wondering if it's loose or bad connections?

Everything else seems to be functioning but as my username states, I am not a pro in this field.

Any ideas? I appreciate any help I can get!

Well if it's only a $30 part, I might just try that board as well. I'll see if anyone else agrees or has other ideas and order it Monday probably. THanks!

Anyone else care to chip in with some advice before I order this part? I can provide more pics if necessary, thanks!

I'm about to order this part but would really appreciate if anyone else could give their opinion on what they think needs to be replaced.

Found a logic board for $30 but would really like to avoid replacing unnecessary parts if possible!

            Thanks!

Y-sus Vsc voltage bad would be a guess; have you tried checking the Vsc and -Vy compared to panel rating? I think the control/logic is OK for now.

I have not, but I just replaced the YSUS last week. I got it off ebay.

Could you give me any more info on how to test this?

Should I contact the ebay seller about a defective part?

Thank you for the response, I really appreciate your assistance.

I'm at work right now, but if you need an "installed picture" I can get you one tonight.

For now, I can give you the ebay pictures from the auction I purchased if it helps.

OK in your case Vscan tested across top and middle metal plates where the buffers connect - should be around 150V.

The metal plates sticking out of the Y-sus connecting to the buffers, do you see them?

Yup, there are 3 of them correct?

The "top" referring to when its installed I assume?

Sorry, my electrical experience is very little. I do have a buddy who is pretty knowledgable about these things though.
If you could give me an idea of what tool I need and basic steps to test it I would appreciate it!

I was going to borrow one from my parents, but I haven't gotten them to confirm that they still have it.

If they don't have it, I was going to purchase this :

                                          Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

                                          🛠 Original Issue
                                          The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

⚠️ New Problem: One USB-C Port Only Works in One Orientation...

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
                                          by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

                                          Hello guys!
I have a strange issue with my laptop keyboard and I'm lost trying to detect what's wrong - the KB9028Q-C or the keyboard itself.
It powers on OK and has no other issues except the following:
                                          • CAPS LOCK does not work at all
                                          • Fn button toggles Flight Mode
                                          • When I press 't' or '5', it produces 't5', and when I press 'y' or '6', it produces 'y6'
                                          • (with SHIFT pressed: 't%' and 'y^' respectively)
I initially thought it was a keyboard malfunction (internal short, etc.),
but when I press and hold...

                                          Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with my Alienware 15 R2 (Service Tag: DL7NN32). The laptop works perfectly when connected to the AC adapter — it powers on and functions normally. However, the battery does not charge. If I disconnect the DC adapter, the laptop shuts down immediately, as the battery is at 0%. I have replaced the battery with a new compatible one, but the issue persists. I also replaced the AC adapter with a compatible one, but the battery still doesn't charge.

To assist with troubleshooting, I'm attaching two power circuit schematics:

Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100 - BIOS Issue, Black Screen

                                          Hello everyone,

I am experiencing a BIOS-related issue with my Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100. When I power on the laptop, the screen stays black, and there is no response from the system. I suspect a corrupted BIOS.

I have checked the forum and the available documentation but could not find a solution specific to my issue.
