Has panel V315B5-L01 Rev. C1

There is picture and sound, however screen is bright white (The swirls are from the camera). Reset picture to default and factory reset does nothing. No T-Con board on this one. Bad panel?

Could be a gamma IC on panel board gone bad; if you feel brave perhaps try lifting it up and locating it?

I have it open now. There is a variable resistor on the board which does nothing when turned. I remember I had another TV and I broke off the VR by accident and it caused a white screen. I can tell by the screws someone has been inside here before unfortunately. Ill send a pic in a sec...

Yes I can see a little mark, part # and we can do a few tests maybe, looks like it would be replaceable but hard work. I have done a component replacement on a panel board before though, it's just awkward because of panel size.

Looks like Intersil, but can't find any part by them with that number. They do make quite a few parts like this for LCD applications. Probably a VCOM amplifier, but not sure what one...

Only place you might be get it is a similar cracked panel.

Bummer, thanks. Well at least mystery is solved. U7 is usually the AS15 chip on the T-Con also.

I just search by using the I7824DA and the stuff just come up, you can try EBAY to see what it has.
1 piece costs almost just as much as 5 or 10 pieces.

I ordered this part. Assuming all goes well and I get it replaced, I did move that variable resistor adjustment, is that an adjustment that can be just done by eye, or is there a process for it?

You should bring up a pattern like this (LCD Tests -> Inversion):

Find the pattern which makes the panel flicker. Usually it is dot inversion or dot-pair inversion.

Then slowly adjust that until the flickering hits a minima. If you go too far it will start flickering again. It will not be possible to get zero flickering though and it might look a little uneven, just go for the best you can. Real world images won't ever be as bad as that...

Most likely if you haven't changed it, it will be fine in the factory setting.

i was searching for this chip and found the posting. From what i can find the i7824DA is a quad op amp, equiv part with datasheet: EC5564.

Does the inductor LP1 look soldered on correctly? i guess it must be since he got it working again.
