32" is worth less than $75 around here in Bay area.
As I indicated, the main fuse is good otherwise you will not have and DCV on the cold side of the circuit.

starmatter: Were you able to pin down the issue to fix the E320VA, or did you decide to toss in the towel and move on?

I'm in the same position as you were currently. My Vizio logo light doesn't illuminate, ever. No power whatsoever. The power supply board looks perfect (usually I see scorching one one component or so, but this board looks functional). And the main board, the same (appears just fine).

Currently, the main board can be had for $42, and the PS for $30, which makes the boards worth roughly as much as a WORKING 720p 32" LCD TV. So if I can narrow it down to one of these two boards, this TV is worth reviving, otherwise ... E-Cycle it is.

So what Voltages do you have on the connector of the power supply board that goes to the main board? The connector has pin names to tell you what they are so make sure to out down the pin name and follow by the Voltage reading for each pin when TV is OFF and when power switch is activated.

          Thanks for the reply

          For reference:

I attached pics of the molex we're talking about.
I'll measure the voltages later hopefully ...

Re: Help with Vizio E320VA power board

The set never turns on. The VIZIO logo on the front never illuminates.
The remote control is functional (tested it with the cell phone camera).
The manual power switch on the side, I'll assume to be OK.
            Below are the measurements:

            black off ---
            brown PDIM ---
            Red 12+ 12.3
            orange 12+ 12.3
            yellow gnd ---
            green gnd ---
            blue gnd ---
            purple 24+ 24.8
            gray 24+ 24.8
            white PS-OFF 2.9
            black 5+ 3.2
            brown 5+ 3.2
            red ACO ---

Re: Help with Vizio E320VA power board

So the main board is sending the PS-ON to turn on the main power supply which is OK because you are are getting the switched 12V and 24V, but the main board is not sending the BL-ON (ON/OFF), or Dimming control signal.
ACD (Incoming AC detect to tell the main board if the incoming AC is within the operating range or not) is at 0V which I am not sure if '0V' is = normal AC or >2RVDC is = to normal AC or not.
I do expect the Vizio logo to be on if the main board is good.
You can try disconnecting the ACD wire from the power supply board side and then use 1K resistor between 5VSTBY and that wire to simulate the ACD signal feeding the main board to see what will happen.

So I just decided to buy a main board (used off ePay). First I bought the WRONG one Then I purchased the same exact board (version), and it does the SAME THING. The VIZIO Light comes on when I plug it in, then ... Nothing again. I'm already into the parts for WAY more than the TV is worth. May as well buy a replacement power supply board too (jump in head first all the way).

Ok, so take the same measurements on your new board and see if you have your bl-on voltage.
Quit because THIS SITE LETS A ROGUE MEMBER TYPE ANY GARBAGE HE PLEASES AND THE POWERS THAT BE NEVER DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT SO HE NEVER QUITS. THEN YOU GET A PENALTY FOR RESPONDING TO HIS ATTACKS. BEEN GOING ON FOR WAY TOO LONG. DONE SUPPORTING A SITE THAT ALLOWS THIS BS.

I bought the correct (same exact model) power supply board off ePay, and the TV works perfectly now.

THANK YOU for all your efforts and support!!

Now, because of my impatience , I have two main boards sitting here, so if anyone needs one, hit me up - I'll let them go cheap, just to recoup some of my investments.

My name on ePay is Comp-U-Nut

I don't sell on ePay too often because, as you can already tell I feel they charge waaay too much to sell on their site (ePAY). The "little guys" (sellers) can't make any money because ePay's fees make a deep cut into your profit.

However, the HUGE Benefit to selling on ePay is that you reach a MUCH LARGER viewing audience. But to be competitive, Free Shipping should be offered, and that cuts off even more of my profits.

                          ... ePAY ...
