Re: Magnavox 32ME402V/F7 No power
I have the same set that is making a terrible buzzing noise when it is plugged in and won't turn off. The buzzing seems to be coming from the large transformer on the power supply board. It stops buzzing when I unplug the other board with all the video inputs on it. Does anyone know what I should test? Thanks in advance.

Re: Magnavox 32ME402V/F7 No power
I think you will be better off with the new board, for the common mode chokes to burn up that bad, the load must be really shorted out. I can see the PCB by that power resistor is burnt into carbon which is conductive so that section of the board will have to be removed which will make the board useless.
Did someone install a really high current rating fuse in place of the original fuse?
This is really crappy TV with bad power supply design.Never stop learning

Re: Magnavox 32ME402V/F7 No power
I'd respect BudM's response.
Maybe a different problem I had, but I was able to repair two of these TVs.
One I used shopJimmy's repair kit below:
http://www.shopjimmy.com/philips-a21...2me402v-f7.htm
The other had a burnt spot under the ceramic resistor, and I found the kit below on e-bay. Fixed my problem:

Good luck.
