I know this thread is old. Did you ever figure it out? I have same model no back light at all. Blue power light comes on & you can see image with flash light.

I got all the igbt's that were shorted removed and replaced.put everything back together and still no image.so after pulling the z and y sus board back out and retesting everything and with the suggestion from tvtimmy I did the jumper test on the logic board again and what ya know colors started coming on the screen.
I'm waiting on a replacement main board now so I took a heat gun to the bga chip for 45 seconds,put everything back together.

Ok I tested all the Q ones and most of them are bad.beeping away.i pulled the y board no beeps on them.
If I get a repair kit should it include all the igbt's or do you have any recommendations?

I starting checking fuses and fs103 on zsus board is blown.I looked at inductor solder joints and there was cracks so i reflowed solder on them.
I'm guessing the next step is to test igbt's and other components.I will research other threads and get back.

Thanks tvtimmy, I ran the jumper and unplugged cable plugged tv in no test pattern showed just the faint image for 2 seconds and disappeared....Leave a comment:

This LG 60pv400 red light comes on after plugging in.when you turn power button on red light goes away then faint snow image comes on for 2 seconds then goes out.press power button as in to turn off red light will remain.
I did confirm on power supply test points vs=200 va=54
I followed from ps to both y and z boards and they both are matching voltages from ps.
I did tested all capacitors on video board all read good with no shorts except c809 and c810.
My question is if I replace those should that resolve the problem or is there something else I need to look at?

Looks like something got spilled in it probably some type of cleaner.i cleaned it with alcohol.
My readings on the cap to the right in Ohm mode@200 1.8
Couldn’t get a reading on cap to the left. Cap to left didn’t beep in continuity mode. However cap to the right did beep.

Thanks again budm. I found a video of a guy with similar problem and it was a smd cap on the panel driver board.he shows how to get to it and do the tests.

I'm assuming the tab bonding board is the board on the bottom that connects into the panel.
