Sony KDL 52w5500 13 blink then 14 blink

Hi, I've a sony KDL 52w5500 since january 2010
Yesterday it stoped working, I'm getting no screen (not even a black image) but I got sound for few seconds (~10)
Then the tv stop and the bottom led start to blink
First 13 times
Then 14 times
An other point is that I've check in the dark, and it seems that there is no light at all coming from the TV so I guess that none of the back lights are powering up.

Any help will be gladly appreciated

Error code 14. No function. Red LED flashes 14 times. Restore software using the recovery software

Can you do a restore sofware without any image on screen ?

Hi, I've done this very process although my Sony KDL-40V5810 would show a power on light but nothing else, would show a response to the remote for a bout 5 seconds and then just jam until I turned it off. I had to install some software to Sony's own proprietary memory stick and remove a small back panel, this revealed a port where I could insert the memory stick; so within 5 seconds or so of turning it on it sprang to life. I was lucky to get the software, I bought the Tv with the fault and was given the software(he had got it from a friend in the trade), the guy did try to fix it him self but needed a Sony camera to format the memory stick which luckily I had and the rest was easy.

I understand this software can be quite hard to come by so a good search maybe needed.

Thx Dan ... it feels like this road is not going to be easy ...

vlado64 can you tell where did you get the informations about the 14 flashes == No function ?
If you do have the service manual for the 52w5500 would it be possible to get it ?
