    Vizio sv370xvt

The problems started with it taking 5-10 minutes after being turned on for the picture to show up. We continued using it and now it is just the opposite. The picture comes on immediately but then goes off not to return no matter how long you leave it on. I suspect it to be the Tcon board but I am not sure. Does anyone or can anyone provide me with some suggestions etc. I don't have the back off yet so no pictures, but I will provide some soon.

Thanks in advance for any ad all help.

OK, post good clear pictures of the back side of the TV so we can see how all the boards are connected together.
Do see the backlights by looking at the holes on the back of the LCD panel or look at the front in the dark room?
If you do have backlights but no pictures then we can suspect the T-CON, if you do not have backlights then we need to look at the signals from main board, the power supply board, the backlights inverter board, etc.

I have taken several pictures including ones that show the screen immediately after being turned on. The screen is completely lit up all the back lights are on. I had to split the power board into different pictures in order to provide up close pictures. I think there are a total of 14 different shots of the back. I was surprised by the number of solid state caps on the boards. Have they really started improving the quality of the boards in these televisions now that they have had so many problems?

I don't know why the pictures do not open inside the post. I am sorry you have to click on each one separately in order to view them.

It looks like the TFT is not getting the drive voltages from the T-CON. From my experience, it is either T-CON or the panel.
I had to fix your pictures for it to show up.

Thanks for fixing the pictures, How did you do that? I tried to follow the instructions but they didn't open up like they were supposed to. I am going ahead and ordering a T-con board today. After it comes in I will post and tell if this corrected the problem. That should be middle of next week. Thanks for your help. I am still struggling to learn all of the ins and outs of diagnosing problems. I downloaded your guide for repairing monitors and televisions and it is a big help. I had a friend give me a 65" WD65833 Mitsubishi that is my next project. It has the flashing green light of death. So far I have found and replaced one surface fuse on the power board so I might ask for your help with it later. Can you provide me with a name of a guide that can help me learn how to follow and test board components? The T-con board for example is mainly solid state I think so it would be nice to know how to test it and verify what is bad even though it is highly doubtful I could ever repair one.

Just ordered the Tcon board. I don't believe it is the panel because the picture comes on beautifully for all of about 5 seconds before it goes crazy. If that doesn't fix it I will just turn around and resell the board plus the other parts.
                Thanks for your help.

Try having ribbon cables between T-CON board and the LCD panel connected one at time to see what you get on the screen.
