Re: usp440m-42lp psu
Joe,
could you do me a favor and measure the voltage over ZD501 and ZD502?
I'm having the same problem but at least VA and all low voltages are working now after I swapped some caps.
Thanks

Re: usp440m-42lp psu
Ok,
1. measure from cathode of D103 to the long heatsink (that's primary ground) . When plugged in you should have immediately 170VDC (for 120VAC input). What's the voltage?
2.
If you can't measure 5Vsb on CN801 but you can measure Vctrl on CN805 I could check how they are linked.
Before turning on the unit through 5Vsb - RLY-ON - VS-ON the only power supply that works is the one with the NCP1203. If you have voltage on the ZD501 and ZD502 this chip works. What's the voltage over these two zener diodes?
An oscilloscope would help.
EDIT: I think the voltage in UK is 230VAC? In this case you should have about 325VDC from cathode of D103 to heatsinkLast edited by paulstef; 03-11-2014, 12:36 PM.Comment

If you don't have DC voltage between pin "+" and "-" of the bridge rectifier then it is either faulty or there is no AC coming in.
Measure AC between the two inner pins of the bridge rectifier. If there is none then follow the two traces back.
What's the voltage on TNR 102? The green round component right beside R105 R106?Comment

Re: usp440m-42lp psu
The blue relay only bridges the two white resistors when you turn on the TV. It limits the inrush current when the two big caps are discharged and you plug the TV in.
Normally AC goes through the two resistors. There should DC on the big caps even when the relay is OFF.Comment

by dicky96Hi guys
I need one of these MP2329CGG for a repair job. It's a 24V 6.5A buck converter. But I have not been able to find a supplier who has that component.
Actually I would buy a few as I always think if I found one faulty already I will probably find more in the future
I had one supplier on Aliexpress who gave me a price $2 each, but I have been waiting some days since I asked for shipping price and they don't reply
Does anyone know where I can buy that part in small quantity (let's say 5 of them), or any equivalent I could use? it supplies the Standby... -
by FailengHello, although I've never been formally taught soldering techniques, etc... I've not really run into too much trouble soldering, with the exception of this job...
I've got a supposed blown transistor on my fuel pump on my car and I'm trying to replace it. It's a gel encased circuit booard with very fine connections. Please see photo uploaded.
I've cleaned up the area that I'm working on with alcohol scraped off the wires, etc..
I cannot get any solder to now stick any of the connections, I've used various grades of solder and flux combination, nothing... -
by rockman97Hello guys,
I am struggling to find bios BIN file for ASROCK FM2A55M-VG3 (i had the normal VG3 not the VG3+)
When i download from official website, and put that in EZP2019+ programmer software it says ''FILE LENGHT, BEYOND RANGE OR IT WILL BE IGNORED''
That means that file i downloaded is larger than chip says, even tho chip is 8mb and file is 8mb.
It has the Winbond 25Q64FVAIQ chip what i need to select the prgoram?
I created a backup but when i rewrite its not work.-

by RickkapI have an ASUS ROG motherboard and it has a shorted/burnt component which I'm struggling to find or identify.

If anyone has the schematics/boardview that would really help.... -
by DreigasHello,
About a year ago, I was struggling to find schematics whenever I needed them. As a programmer, I saw an opportunity and wrote a few scripts to automatically gather a large database of them. Today, I've decided to share it with everyone, because good things should be accessible to all.
What's included? Over 14,000 laptop schematics, as well as some BIOS files, and about 1,000 phone schematics.
Everything is compressed in a RAR format and is over 140 GB. (Since it's such a large file, your browser might show a warning.)
I plan to host the...-
