Re: diagnose samsung plasma ps50c550....
At razor, yes xsus has a fault, test the y buffer board an u may find that has short too, on the smaller sets its the two outer fets on xsus that short, u may be able to replace just those but be warned if buffer has a fault or the y sums it will short again. Most people reccomended changing all 3 boards on the ps42c series. Just be sure to check each replacement board as there is a lot of faulty ones out there. I have two ps42c that need buffer boards that I have yet to locate good ones, had 4 sent to me faulty lol

Test the boards for short circuit between vs,va and ground you may find its shorted some fets like the smaller ones do

Re: Is it possible to fix Plasma panel?
Would expect a shorted chip on y buffer, causing the y and x to blow again, y buffer boards should always be tested before replacing other boards on plasma TV! Tom666 has a good video showing how test buffer boards

Re: LCD42761F acoustic solutions tv
That's a vestel based unit, I had one in a technical model with main board fault that wasn't switching the psu on, never did narrow down the exact fault but replacement main cured it, be sure to check all psu voltages are coming up first though, there are schematics available online

Re: LG42PT350R clicking and doesn't turn on
You connect each one in turn and the voltages drop? Or all of them?, try to connect all but the x an y then see if the voltages still there, test for short circuit on x an y between vs and ground for a starter

If you sell parts it's worth a punt, if you don't I wudnt gamble on it, they suffer tab bond problems terribly

Re: 17MB35-4 3.3V Shorted Help ?
Not sure if it helps but I used to fault find xbox360 shorts by jumping a pc psu always on then jumper wire affected rail and either smoke or very hot component usually made it fast to find problem

Re: 17pw26-3 Psu Unstable Output Any Ideas ?
I'm sure you have plenty of spares from these wonderful vestel TVs, I have cut the cables from a couple and soldered auto bulbs on the end to quickly plug in and testmakes life a bit easier since most of them use the same plug types

Bush pdp42hd3 aka ps42c450
I have this set in at the moment, lowest buffer ic s/c, two outer fets on x main sc, ysus tests ok,
If I replace the x main fets and remove the sc buffer ic, will the set fire up with just a blank row? Do other damage? I don't want to purchase a y main as well if not needed but research suggests peopl change all 3 boards,
Thanks for any help/ thoughts

Re: Just wondering can one of you guys point me in the right direction please LG 42pc
reecy has given you the best advice, using a multi meter test the voltages, being very careful as there are some high voltages in plasma tv that can stop your heart !!!!!!!!!!
All the voltages on theese tvs are marked on each board, vs and va exact voltages are marked on a sticker on the panel

Re: XBOX 360 Advice Needed
Having fixed a lot of Xbox I would suggest putting a known good laser in that drive first, I can't remember which way round it is but for some reason (possibly ap2.5 checks) if a ms25 or ms28 will sometimes play DVDs but not games with a failing laser. I think it depended on the exact error I.e play DVD, insert in Xbox 360 or just dumping you back to dashboard. might be worth reading the firmware off the drive to see if it been messed with!
Before you go about glitching console for DVDs key look at the power plug and determine which m/b type you...
