    Tips And Tricks

So, I've been reading threw forums for the past two weeks soaking up at the great info I can find, but I'm surprised I have not found a good tips and tricks yet! If there is one and I haven't came across it, we'll my bad. So here are some I've read and enjoyed!

    1. The good old current limiting light bulb! Simple 40-100 watt light bulb in series with the hot!

    2. Small cfl light bulb to test inverter outputs.

    3. Isolation transformer on scope of equipment.

    4. Home made EEPROM reader/writer

    5. To be discovered!!!

Seems like some of the tv stuff once you read it goes in and out. Wether it's because it seems like the usual (replace bad caps) but others just seem to stick.
So if anyone would like to add their tips and tricks it would be great! I feel it would be good for any new people and also myself! Oh and btw how do we get a smilie in the list that is holding a Canadian flag???
    Thanks for the time!

"Isolation transformer on scope of equipment." it should be isolation transformer on the unit you are testing (Notes: the Neutral output of the isolation transformer should not be connected to the safety ground, but the outlet still must have safety ground that is connected to the incoming AC safety ground.
Also should always use AC outlet with GFCI.

Just for clarification Jonesy123, in#3, were you referring to using the isolation transformer to isolate an oscilloscope?
