Re: Samsung PN42A450P1D Plasma screen doesn't prime
Ok so totally disregard #19and. Moving on..
I pulled of the bezel to check the panel for damage; nothing visible.
The fuse under the heatsink it is near the 3 big capacitors, is that part of the ERC circuit?
If so the voltage is ok right?
Another thing, what is the difference between Vsch and Vscan?

Re: Tc-42px14
I realized that english was not your first language early on, no problem I will try to be clear
Since I am not familiar with the set, a good clear photo of the whole back of the TV ( showing all boards) would be good.
Do you have a multimeter? Next you should check the Vsus and Ve voltages at the P board. The values are on the panel sticker.
These are high voltages so you need to be careful.

Re: Tc-42px14
Does it 'flash' briefly when you first turn it on?

Re: Tc-42px14
I think we are starting to go in circles here...
I am just a novice at this but I'm trying to help you gather some information so maybe someone can help you.
Maybe I am not asking the right or most relevant questions but by you not answering them we are getting nowhere....

Re: Tc-42px14
Ok can you describe what the set does when you plug it in and turn it on-with everything reconnected?
I think we have deterimined that you have a solid red led, right?
Does the screen come on briefly or at all?

Re: Tc-42px14
Neither am I, if you were to disconnect C1, that is exactly what you would expect to see, I believe.
Here is the service manual:

Re: Tc-42px14
Ok so the reason I asked was I just worked on a TC-p42x3, I spotted your panel sticker and see its a different panel(2009) and the boards are different but perhaps I could apply what i learned to help you since the locked red led seems key.
Basically we started with the set powered of and unplugged, by disconnecting the cable from p board to sn and checking sn for short.
