Re: Toshiba LED TV, blank screen
After power up, the big red toshiba letters come up fine, and they are on a light gray background (this has never failed...it always shows the red toshiba). After a few seconds the toshiba goes away, the gray turns to dark black. Used a flashlight and could not see any faint image or grayness at all...Leave a comment:

If when it has gone dark, in a dull room can you shine a flashlight onto the screen from
different angles to see if there is still a faint image.Leave a comment:

Toshiba LED TV, blank screen
To all:
The TV was working fine, just over a year old. Turn it on one day and the screen is blank. Here are some observations. turn on tv, front small power on green light is on, the red toshiba name comes up and can see fine on a dark gray background. the toshiba goes away, and the screen turns from dark gray to black/blank. Can still hear sound, channels work, input selection works, on/off works, but screen is blank. Changed input to dvd (by guessing at the menu choice since screen bland...), same results. TV model is 46L52000U1. I've disconnected from AC (left for hours), and powered up again, same results. Toshiba forums say this is common, with only answer is to see a repair shop....My question is if someone can point me to a specific module or board that might be bad. I'm very willing to open her up and troubleshoot/replace parts. Thanks in advance. MDluffyTags: None

by Mad_ScienceI have a older eddy current tester made by Olympus that uses interchangeable TFT-LCD screens. I have two devices that each take the same removable screens. One is an Olympus NORTEC 200D+ and the other is an Olympus SONIC 1200M EMI. I have searched the internet high and low for service manuals for these units with no luck. Both these units were used extensively by the US military for NDT on airplanes. The detachable screen plugs into the base unit via a weird non standard VGA connector. Buttons on the removable display are used to power the units on. When the power button is pressed the unit makes...

by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -

by dicky96Hi guys
I'm trying to fix this laptop screen
Basically the owner is a computer shop and they brought it to me with two screens. They said the repair shop they use could not fix it, so I thought i would try to see if I am better than their current repairer!
OK so I have the original screen which works but has lines across the bottom quarter of the screen
I have the replacement screen, which they fitted and it worked. They then put the laptop on one side for a couple of weeks until they found a buyer. When they showed it to the buyer, the screen would... - Loading...
