Have you checked fuses F401+F402 and Q406 for short on the power board

Try unplugging SC and SS ribbon cables, does blink code change to 6/7/8 blinks?

OK ribbons back in what's the voltage you get on connector P6 (power board) pin 7,8,9, multimeter black on chassis ground, red on pin.

                      pin 7 2.0 volts
                      pin 8 0.8 volts
                      pin 9 0.8 volts

these measurements are when the tv is first turned on but quickly drop to zero after a few minutes

                        Re: Th-42px80ba

Can you hold the reading on pin 7 as the TV clicks on and off and note any changes in the voltage? Go from unplugged to 10 blink code.

pin 7 15.35 volts when the TV is first turned on then drops to 2.35 volts after the clicking sound, then keeps dropping until zero volts

OK, now try pin 1 and hold the reading in the same way.

OK, now check pin 11 of P25; the PANEL_MAIN_ON. It should turn HIGH for +15V(S) to turn on, which is pin 1 of P6.

OK, this is looking like a main board fault.
I've got a PZ70BA right now with a similar problem.
Does set have any fans -- if so do they spin at all?
