    OKITV32HDA with power supply FSP204-2F01

    Hello all,

OKI TV 32" that wont power on.
The power supply have the reference FSP204-2F01 and it have 2 connectors, CN3 +12V and CN2 +24V

I replaced CS12, CS13, CS15, CS15, CS19 and CS20 bulged capacitors. Changing these made no difference to the TV and I still dont get +24V on the CN2 connector.

    Any help is appreciated!

OK, on the two legs of the blue 450vdc main filter cap, do you get around 370~400VDC right at the two legs when the power switch is activated? When you work in the primary side of the circuit, the negative leg of that main filter cap is the Ground ref point for your meter, not the chassis. BTW, do see any indicator lights on the front of the TV? IF not, the voltage regulator ICs and the fuses on the main board will need to be checked.
Not sure how correct this diagram is:

Uploading pictures of bottom and upper side right now.

I get 110V on the 450V main filter cap. This is very low, why? I measured this value directly from the main 450VDC capacitor.

Re: OKITV32HDA with power supply FSP204-2F01

That means the main board may not be sending the PS_ON signal to turn on the PFC Voltage booster up to run the 24VDC power supply section, need to check the DC Voltage (with ref to the chassis ground) on connector CN3 PIN 3 to see if it goes from 0VDC to >2.5VDC when power switch is activated.
And again "BTW, do see any indicator lights on the front of the TV? IF not, the voltage regulator ICs and the fuses on the main board will need to be checked."

Since the main board is getting the 12V to run the board, at this point the main board is the problem, you need to check the main board fuses, if any, the voltage regulator ICs (see the link to how to test LDO). Pictures of the main board next.

                    On connector CN3 I get:

                    Pin01: 0V
                    Pin02: 0V
                    Pin03: 0V

                    Pin05: 11.8V
                    Pin06: 11.8V
                    Pin07: 11.8V
                    Pin08: 0V
                    Pin09: 0V
                    Pin10: 0V

                    When power switch is activated.

I dont get the >2.5VDC on Pin 03. Main fuse is OK. What could I check?

"But I'm not getting the 24VDC of the power supply' That is because the main board is not sending the PS_ON (0V at CN3-3) signal to turn on the 24VDC and the PFC Voltage booster circuits. Read the guide under my signature on how typical LCD TV works. BTW, your TV uses 12VSTBY POWER SUPPLY instead of typical 5VDC.

                                Hi budm,

If I disconnect the CN3 I get those 11.8V but If CN3 is connected the voltage goes down to 3.4V. This is normal?

On connector CN3 I get these voltages when is connected:

                                Pin01: 0V
                                Pin02: 0V
                                Pin03: 0V
                                Pin04: 3.4V
                                Pin05: 3.4V
                                Pin06: 3.4V
                                Pin07: 3.4V
                                Pin08: 0V
                                Pin09: 0V

So these reading on post 10 is WITHOUT CN3 connected to the main board, if that is the case then you 12V is not normal for it to drop down to 3.4V.
It can be one of two things: the power supply cannot handle the load so the output drops down to 3.4V or too much load due to fault on the main board that caused 12V to drop.
Do you have any low wattage 12V car lamp so we can use it as a load for the 12V?
I suspect that C14, C16 Start up caps for the 12V power supply may be bad, you can try replacing them.

I have the same problem than pyrosster. If I connect the CN3 connector, i have less than 3vdc, and 11vdc if I disconnect it. The light on the TV lights very dimmed and do not start. I changed all electrolitic condensers and I do not see any change. How can I force to start the 12vdc part of power supply? or why do not start this?

                                    Thank you in advance.

Re: OKITV32HDA with power supply FSP204-2F01

OK, on the two legs of the blue 450vdc main filter cap, do you get around 370~400VDC right at the two legs when the power switch is activated?
What mean if i have 750V on this cap? I have the same power supply that was working quite ok after replacing bad caps, but sometimes stdby led didn't stay on. after some ON/OFF i heard a "ttac" and now i have not 12v nor 24v.(and 750v on main cap) Any suggestion?
                                        Thanks in advance
