Do you know the last input the TV was being used on?
You don't have this remote controller?Comment

Re: Vizio 32" E321VL struggling to power on
Does the VIZIO logo go away?
Does it have a logo on the screen when you switch it on or not?
I think I misread your post; I thought you said the "V" logo came up on screen and backlight went away but the "V" was still visible faintly; but I had it mixed up with the logo on the TV frame and on the screen.
So yes you could have an inverter fault ...Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Vizio 32" E321VL struggling to power on
That is inverter or backlight bulbs. Flash mem does not cause that; if it had been a stuck logo, we have seen flash mem cause that here. My fault for confusion. Can you post a picture of the inverter? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Vizio 32" E321VL struggling to power on
I took the TV completely apart, thinking that the two long circuit boards that the led lamps plug into were the inverter boards. Eh, it looks like it turns out that the "inverter board" is built into the power supply board.

So it looks like my instincts were right from the beginning, that it was the power supply board at fault? Unless I missed a board somewhere... but I've got this thing in pieces at the moment.Comment

Re: Vizio 32" E321VL struggling to power on
I have only seen this model with the power supply & inverter together. if you want to confirm your inverter circuit is bad, it may have bad output transistors.Check the four transistor for short using your meter. I'm repairing the same power supply & inverter and I found shorted output transistors. But to quickly repair your TV just replace the power supply & inverter board.Comment

My favourite trick with these 2+ transformer inverters to put a neon bulb next to each transformer; if the bulb glows, there is HV being produced and the transformer is probably working. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

by Super360Ok so here's the story. I was watching tv one day when all of a sudden I heard a pop from the back of the tv set and rushed to unplug the set. By this time the tv already had smoke coming out the back. It was not storming or inclement weather that day to cause a power surge to the best of my abilities. When I opened the tv up, I found that the three capacitors on the psu (highlighted in red) were all bulging and looked they had exploded. I replaced all of them right away and when I went to start up the tv after the "fix" it started just showing the flashing vizio logo as soon as power...

by ossroyVizio M60-C3 powers on, perfect logo, turns off. If you don't touch anything it will repeat this process by itself until it is unplugged. Not the "button board" since I disconnected the cables to the main board and the problem persisted. So I'm fairly positive something is going on with the main board, but want to know if there is a fix for this other than replacing the expensive mainboard, which may eventually have the same problem. Also, heat sink was hot as hell when this all started. Unplugged for a few days and same thing happens.

by x_orange90_xI just got this tv today and it's getting stuck on the wallpaper. When I first power it on it goes to the V logo, then a black screen for about 15 seconds, then a Chromecast error for just a few seconds, and then finally to a wallpaper. It stays frozen on this wallpaper and does not respond to anything on the remote besides power on/off. Likewise the buttons on the tv do nothing either (besides power). I did the "reset" by holding the volume down and input buttons together for 10 seconds. It showed a message at the top of the screen saying it was Wiping Data and would restart soon. After...

by mrtekHi.
picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED... -
by JaquesPrattI have a Vizio D32f-E1 LCD TV that does NOT have a TCON board.
This TV recently went through some 'death throes' and now won't boot. The first problem that began to manifest was while watching tv, the screen would 'freeze', and the image would dim over a few seconds until it was very dark. HOWEVER, the audio of the show would continue as normal. I could power off the TV for 5-20 seconds, power back on, and the video would be normal. This would occur 1-3 times when the TV was first started, and would not happen again after the TV was 'warmed up'. Not ideal, but this glitch was manageable.... - Loading...
