I want to find a solution, perhaps an ultimate, solution to this dilemma with your expertise. As it stands, the diffuser is too close, if not directly on the joint, there must be a way to separate without affecting image quality, I'm thinking with small glass strips or maybe pieces that make it a little distance, melan, them, or what do you suggest?
DO THERE IS A SOLUTION PREVENT MELTING DIFFUSER

THANKS diah but is it a specific SAMSUNG problem? because I see it on many other brands like Sony Philips and many other not well known brands like Voxicon etc ect... So maybe it's time to think about coming up with some kind of preventative solution

I don't buy their junk but from what I understand, after replacement backlights or fixing/replacing diffuser and setting the backlights to a reasonable level, the diffuser don't burn up again.Comment

Gave you the simple solution in post #4, tv menu backlight setting is it 100 put it less than 50, 20 put it less than 10, never have it on vivid or whartever they're calling 100 percent, if left on 100 or whatever the max is will burn shit up every time.Last edited by nomoresonys; 03-07-2024, 06:21 AM.Comment

Current mod with resistor is nothing new, been done for years, even here, youtube is full of it, but must be done correctly.Comment

about increase current sensor,. it work for HD TVs, but within 4K 8K TVs specially with HDR / HGR (10) & HDR (10)+ you will lost the color calibration value. and need to calibrate it again again which need tools. no one of us own it... just because its belong not for repair but for lab only.Comment

I don't see the point in this. Take apart an entire TV to put a piece of glass to stop the diffuser from melting even though the LEDs are going to go out anyways because of being overdriven? Just so you can then take it apart and repair it so the diffuser is still good?Comment

Hello all .many nice advice, lower the baklight level. Or to reduce the backlight current in the power supply sure if it was my own TV and you should do from the start .but here are 8 tv s with different brands that have the same problem and the customers want me to fix them. Therefore, I turn to your experience and try to figure out something from your proposal.
Let's try again guys.Comment

You have the answer, you are NOT going to reinvent the wheel, if the diffuser is melted it's junk and needs replaced, this video shows the upgraded diffuser. Do a search and see where you can get them, the end: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sawYS2pWS5kComment

by V3dranHello,
I'm trying to repair a UE50NU7022KXXH with a cracked diffuser/lpg and now also with burned leds
There are 4/5 white spots on the bottom that are not visible since the left side is dark now so I want to change the diffuser/lpg
Looking the samsung spare parts, I see that there is a DIFFUSER PLATE and a LPG so I'm wondering what is really broken?

by linuxrunneri have a 65" samsung UN65TU700DFXZA. my kid sprayed cooking oil from a spray/mist bottle onto the screen (2yr old thinking she was cleaning). oil ran down and seeped under the bezel on the bottom of the screen. It appears to have soaked/wicked into the diffuser i have a light colored splotch along the bottom of the screen that grew upwards over a day or two.
i have not disassembled yet but judging by the way it wicked up it looks like its been absorbed into the diffuser so i don't have a lot of hope of cleaning it.
i checked Samsung parts site but they don't... -
I have a Samsung 40” NU series tv with the melted cracked diffuser I’m fixing. I replaced the backlights and I’m planning on cutting a new diffuser out of a 55” diffuser that just melted but didn’t crack.
Question is do I have to keep the top edge factory for the diffusing to work properly or does it matter?
only get one shot at cutting it so wanted to make sure.... -
by tommy97Hi,
we're getting quite a lot wiped A1932 & A2337 from scrap with MDM (Remote management), we'd like to find permanent solution to remove it without CPU swap as it gets not economical, I found iremove.tools website which offer permanent solution, however if they got shut-down i believe laptops would also get locked? Does anyone have any knowledge about this service & about any other possible method? -
by EazyBoneI replaced a diffuser because the other one was melted I accidentally scratched it. And now it shows up in the picture which I thought it would. Is anyone here have a way to get the scratch off (doubt but might as well ask) or has anyone done this and flipped the diffuser shield because I think it's scratched on the front I can't really remember but is anyone had success flipping it and then the scratch might go away?
It shows up in the light in the picture - Loading...
