    Philips 40PFT4009/12 bootloop (TPN149E)

Started after unplugging power cable when TV was turned on. (remote control was lost and user didn't know where power button is located)
So my first thought is firmware corruption.

Tried autorun.upg and upgrade_loader.pkg on 16GB FAT32 MBR formatted USB stick but neither did anything. Maybe I just don't understand how to start them.
When USB inserted and TV plugged in, it just starts up and continues bootlooping. When USB plugged in and I hold down power button when plugging TV in, it just doesn't do anything.

Attached boot dump (at the end it just restarts and start over)

Any tips on how to get USB upgrade to work or any other idea what's wrong?

What you need here is the service firmware and a USB flash drive no larger than 4 Gb.

I assume upgrade_loader.pkg is the service firmware, right?

https://toengel.net/philipsblog/firmware-archiv/#2014 Which I got from here.

Yes, there should be a service name "upgrade.pkg". And whatever matches your chassis.

If the update does not pick up, then hold down the “OK” button on the remote control and insert the plug into the socket. Yes, on this chassis you can simply rename the update file from the official website to “upgrade.pkg”
And a lot depends on the USB flash drive, you need an old one with 2-4 Gb.

Switched to 4GB. I see from logs that it does seem to see and mount it but still not upgrading. Got to find the remote then

Yes, you need a remote control.

Still no luck when pressing OK on remote while plugging TV in.

                  [APP_SHL_SWUpdate_VerifyUpdateFile(): 1399]SHL_SWUPDATE#no correct file exist!!!

                  I guess incorrect file?

Edit: Nevermind that, had another file on stick and forgot to plug in receiver cable Will continue soon.

                      Yes.

But I found a strange way to fix this TV.

By holding down OK, at one point I could press other buttons and the TV would stay on. Half of the menus were missing/faulty but software update part was working. So I just used autorun.upg to rewrite software and that seems to have fixed it.

Yes, you did not read my first post? It did not work. USB stick was detected, that was not the issue.

You're saying you held ok and chose auto update from the tv menu?

No. By pressing OK, it stopped bootlooping and I could see update menu seemed to work. So I replugged usb with correct update file and it detected the update file automatically.

                                  Hello to everyone ,

This is my first post here, and i would like to share with you a small story in case you can help me.

Docker Type-C Gen 2 - Model 40AS. Was given to me by a friend for free ,but with the problem that you cannot use the video output ports.

All ports work , USB , Ethernet, Type C ... but HDMI + Display Port don't work

I searched on reddit and google for problem similar to that, and a LOT of people had fixed this problem by updating the firmware. So i tried , i searched and found 1.1.13 utility and 1.1.20 utility that can help...

                                  Hi guys.

I've got a Ubiquiti US-8-150W POE switch which has issues with updating the firmware.
Turned out to be a bad EEPROM chip. It would read the firmware and work as normal, but failed to write new firmware to it.

So I took off the chip and read on EEPROM and saved it. Wrote to old chip and failed to write
Got New chip and writes good.

                                  THE PROBLEM...
It fails to fully load the firmware, POE lights fail to work during g firmware test during load. I'm suspecting bad EEPROM Read.

Does anyone have a Good Firmware I can have?...

TV boots to Sharp logo, then shutdown, then cycles again. I suspected backlights. Opened up and removed backlight connector, power on, same symptoms. Voltage out of power supply to backlights test OK and follow with bootloop up/down.
Used LED tester into backlight connector, one set of pins test OK, one set test Open. But, with the backlights disconnected the TV is still in a bootloop. So aside from a possible bad LED strip... Could I also have a firmware issue?

                                  Hello,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share a recent experience I had with a laptop that had a Type-C Port issue, specifically related to a PD (Power Delivery) controller problem. After replacing the damaged PD controller chip with a new one I purchased from AliExpress, the laptop now charges properly and negotiates power as expected, allowing the device to power up. I've replaced this chip twice just in case.

However, it seems that the laptop's BIOS is detecting an older version of the PD Firmware on the newly installed chip. As a result, it attempts...
