Hello this tv the led lights stopped coming on tv works just no lights if I take flashlight to it I can see screen and it has sound. Thanks assuming I'm looking at a bad led stopping the circuit or?

Probably but first check the diodes at the led driver output. -
Where would the diodes for the driver be, and use my multimeter and just put in diode mode? And I can test each led in diode mode as well? Thanks for the replyComment

At first when you turn it on the screen flickers then goes black but flashlight shows picture, any advice before i take it apart thanksComment

If you can navigate the menu without the backlight on, could try going into backlight setting and turn it way down, see if tv acts differently. A backlight tester is always a good tool to have, basics ones are around 20 bucks, must be VERY careful with the panel, the bigger the screen the more flimsy and easier they are to break during repair attempt, check several youtube videos for procedure and tips.Comment

That's good, always nice to start there, it may be the same old story where the owner leaves or puts the backlights on max all the time and the backlights burn out very early. Could start right out tearing it down, but maybe some simple testing on powerboard to confirm it's doing what it should would be the first step. And simple things like checking all the solder joints on bottom of board and add a little solder to any that look iffy or bad, can search for bad solder images if needed, another simple test, heat all the electrolytic capacitors on powerboard with a hairdryer for a couple few minutes then try tv while its still hot, can check diodes, resistors and transistors without much difficulty, youtube is your friend for how to videos.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

I gotten a Carver CM-1090 amplifier from a friend who has kept it in storage for decades. Opened it up, thick layer of dust cumulated everywhere. Vacuumed it semi-cleaned, and blown off as much as possible the remaining dust. This is a 220V version.
On initial powered up with nothing connected - it works with all the lights and button indicator lit up as pressed, etc. I then powered off, connected a CD player into the CD RCA input and powered it on. It seemed to work for a short while and when I turned the volume up and down to see the the VUs works, the power started to clicked off... -

i am trying to repair this Christmas lights from my parents. They are incandescent lights, no led lights.
I have tried with 12V a 24V small lights that I found in Aliexpress but is obvious that are not the right ones. They last microseconds connected. Do they blow because of Amps or Volts?
If I measure the Amps in the string........it's only 90mA. If I measure the Volts in the "green box"......it's between 0 and 190V, but doing a little bit of maths from the number of bulbs in series.......it's only about 6V per lamp.

I have a Lenovo here that does not want to power on. The motherboard appears to be clean, no sign of corrosion or obvious fried components. When plugged in, I see 3 blinking lights and then off. It would cycle the 3 blinking lights every 10 seconds or so as long as I have the adapter plugged in. Amp meter shows 20 volts, 0.224 amps, no fan spin, red light indicator near the charge port.
Thermal camera shows a section of the motherboard that is warmer than the rest. It is near the connector labels JRTC1 (CMOS battery). Diode measurement to ground for pin 1 = OL,...
