    AVerMedia Ezrecorder ER310

I do hope I have posted this in the correct area, as it is a video related device?

The above item has reached end of life, with the manufacturer not supporting this any longer

My unit has stopped, in that it will start up, however, it will not respond to the remote control.

My remote seems to work ok, as I can see it emitting a red led when I use a mobile camera to check it....just to be sure, I also have a Harmony remote 300 that I was able to download the codes onto, and it's behaviour is the same.

Previously, pressing the remote invoked a responsive on the main unit, by it emitting a flash on the front panel led, which it no longer does. I can get to a menu, but no function on any button of the remote will allow any input/movement up/down the menu system, nor an acknowledged led flash.

I am assuming, that perhaps the ir receiver on the motherboard is not working?

I cannot, as yet, get any information from AVerMedia as to the IR receiver part number etc, to see if it can be replaced.

What I am trying to determine, as I am not very technically astute, is if there is a way for me to determine, with the unit still in place on the removed motherboard, if I can know whether the ir is actually faulty or not.

I will attach some pictures showing the board, serial numbers etc. I do see data on the board saying (??) the board has 5 different models/versions...checking one, such as C285 on a google search, shows it as a similar device as this ER310...it is listed in the 5 devices also.

Unfortunately, these are the best pictures I could do on my mobile, and the last close up, trying to determine the numbers on the ir are horrible, and I apologise, but cannot seem to do better, even on the macro settings on the samsung mobile camera that I used.

Can anyone help trying to tell an absolute beginner like me , how I can try to work out if this may be the problem stopping my unit from working? The only thing I have to use, is a cheap MM, no beep function, and I am pretty clueless how to use it correctly, but am willing to follow any advice / tutorial, of what to do and measure?

    many thanks

      Some help please.

      I found this video https://www.youtube.com/shorts/GbFa3...?feature=share

I went to my motherboard and connected the power, and using the video above, measured the power on the pins of the IR receiver.

      The left pin measure 4.92v
      The right pin measured 5.11v

I put my red MM probe on the left pin, and the black MM probe on to ground via touching it to the boards rca out connector

At the same time, my wife pressed the remote buttons and the left pin voltage would drop down in numbers and then back up to 4.92 again.

Does this actually indicate that the IR is in fact working?

      Thanks

DeLonghi AC Remote only accepts 3V
        by cstout
Hello all, I've been looking into this portable air conditioner's remote control and can't find what could be causing the problem - or possibly this remote is just terribly designed.

The remote only works at exactly 3V - if I drop it any lower, using my bench power supply, to say, 2.9V then the remote will not flash the display and turn off. I don't have any AAA batteries that are exactly 1.5V each so I'm not sure if this remote is designed this way - to only use the freshest possible batteries, or if there's a failed component in the mix.

        I can't find any schematics...

Toshiba 50lf711u20 fire tv remote not pairing
        by Mc_Millian
        Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could help my in pairing a remote with a Toshiba fire tv?
The Tv model number is: 50lf711u20 Rev B.

I've already replaced all the the circuit boards within the tv along with the I.R. sensor receiver.

I've tried 3 different remotes which should be fully compatible with this TV.

Oddly enough. A few if the buttons on all of the remotes actually work. Even without pairing...which makes no sense.

The power button, along with the volume, back, select, and directional...

Repair of an LG split AC system indoor unit PCB
        by ngml
I am trying to repair an LG split AC indoor unit, which does not start and gives a CH05 error code.
This indicates an error in the communication between the outdoor and the indoor unit.
The outdoor unit is fine, so the problem is the indoor PCB.
The indoor unit is an LG PC09SQ NSJ (3SNM09JA2FA), and the PCB has the following type number: EAX35907219-1.2 (see photo1)
I changed optocouplers ICO1X & ICO2X and the NPN transistor S9013 which drives optocoupler ICO2X (see photo2), but this did not remedy the fault.

Does anybody have the schematics of this board,...

HiSense 55A7500F won't obbey to remote after power on
        by edugimeno
Hi! I have this TV set that does the following:
        1) I press the red power button on the remote
        2) The TV turns on normally
        3) After that it won't take any other command from the remote, neither power off, volume, channel, NOTHING
        4) We need to either pull the main cable or use the built in button at the bottom to select funcion OFF

Then after it's off, it would again accept the TURN ON from the remote and same again

        BUT:
-The remote does show the correct IR beam while observed thru a phone camera
-The TV works fine while using the MiRemote...

Please help, where can I get a remote for my subwoofer?
        by rustinjust
I’ve got a subwoofer that I’ve had for nearly 20 years, it did come with a basic remote which I’ve lost. It’s a generic make of subwoofer, I can’t see a brand sticker on it. It comes with 2 speakers.

Question recently I’ve connected it up to my tv which has greatly improved the sound on my tv, however I’d like to be able to mute the subwoofer when ads come on or just mute it when the phone rings etc. I tried using a cheap all in one tv remote on the subwoofer and the volume button would only work to increase volume but not turn it down or mute it

        Is there...
