XBR-65x850e Sony, no power questions

I got this tv above, has no power. I suspect emmc corruption and might have to send board out because I cannot do it. But I am trying to test panel first and having some confusion on the numbering done for the PSU connector. Can someone shed light on how this is numbered as things don't seem to match up to me.

Does it start row 1 (bottom of connector on top) as number 1, then go to row 2 as number 2 and then cycle 3 is number 2 on bottom and 4 is number 2 on top?

I would like to jump tcon on etc to test panel but for some reason the numbering is off to me. My experience says tcon on is the white wire running to tcon which says number 26 but, that numbering doesn't make sense since there would be 30 pins and not 28. Hope it makes sense.

where are the problem...? on the socket 2 Row Odd Numbers Row and even number row. so Odd row 1-3-5-7-9-11-13-15-17-19-21-23-25-27 , & the Even Row 2-4-6-8-10-12-14-16-18-20-22-24-26-28

So this grey wire in new picture is tcon on then? 26. I feel like the white wire was tcon on before, I guess that's not the case?

I don't want to blow something up like an idiot. And for some reason I am confused

t-con ON pin 26 mean the even row before the last one LOL if you afraid of mistake use R 1K Ohm between Jumpers

When I jump ps on, 3.3stby and blon, backlight doesn't come on at all. Is there something else I need to jump to get it to come on? I've tested all the lights so they do work.

any suggestions would be helpful, first pic shows pins

show the whole back of the TV.... you have 3 Zone of DIMM,, when you did STB to Poo /TCON_ON /BL-ON did you checked the BL error going high or not

So it's a edgelit tv, LED tester lights up 4 spots for 1/4 of screen.

Bl err does not give any voltage when jumpered as you ask. Stays at zero

As an alternative test, I just jumpered PSON, stby 3, tcon on, and then used LED tester for backlights (1/4 screen) and that corner lights up but I also get no image on the screen either. (PSU disc from MB and MB to tcon ribbons disc at tcon also)

I expected it to cycle RGB like the other sonys I've tested

same test you did. remove the 2 LVDS from T-CON side...... remove the metal shield ( don't forget to screw the t-con to chassis ) to have access to T-CON fuse for test 12V from both side

I was able to test fuse with shield on, I get 12v each side. I removed the shield already to check lvds because it had been opened and maybe not connected but the shield hasn't been off before

As a note, I got this TV free and it had previously been opened. Didn't get any data on that, but the lvds from main to tcon was disconnected when I first opened it up

Any other thoughts anyone? If I can't test the panel or anything going to scrap this TV as $110 is a bit to much to throw at this without knowing.

same way last test but let the panel half ribbon connected or look after edge boards U ribbon to disconnected from each side a time

You very not practical.. TCON12V powers MB first and this powers TCON.. if MB is disconnected.. let you think...
you have to jumper (without resistors) STB3.3V - Power-ON - BL-ON, then fly a jumper wire from REG12V to Fuse on TCON, the strange is why BL doesn't glow.. at last try a 2k2 ohm from stb3.3 to DC-dimmer

Check D750 thru D753 for shorts.

So tv seems dead, no indicator light on front?

Yea sorry, I put it to side for moment as parts for other tvs came in an need room.

Yes no indicator light, PSU seems fine.

Yea why BL doesn't come on is odd, I didn't use any resistors to jump anything. But I'll take a look at all suggestions.

I will get back to this thread with tests after I clear out some TVs, got way too many at moment and need some space before back to this. Will update in a week or so.

Lo and behold I still have the TV and got a half working board that also needs repair.. stuck it in and image and sound everything works. Unsure what specifically is broken but going to probably send out the board to repair.

Does anyone have the EMMC file for this TV? I read lotas said Id is linked to something but if repair shops can fix it, how are they doing it.

Additional update. The new board I got is for a 65x900e not a 65x850e

The customer said he replaced the main board (which is why it's x900e) and it worked for a long time until now.

Are these boards interchangeable? Someone have this data?
