I don't see how probing inductors is going to help -- to save me reading the whole thread again could you recap on the current fault you're chasing?

10 flashing light power board seems to be giving off the right amount of v to the A board tw2005 said just try the v from the inductors we had tried a few things and he wanted to know the sub 3.3 v I think

          Re: panasonic tx42-p42x20b

Pic of each, if available please:- (there's a lot so OK to try and get multiples in one photo, but need to be able to see the components around them. Your pics are great so just try to keep same focus/lighting quality.)
          • Tuner power developed from IC2950, IC2952, IC2953. Likely near tuner can.
          • P+5V generated by IC9801.
          • P+3.3V generated by IC9802.
          • P+1.2V generated by IC9800.
          • AVDD+3.3V generated by IC5603.
          • AVDDH+3.3V generated by IC5604.
          • SUB+9V generated by IC5401.
          • SUB+3.3V and SUB+5V generated by IC5601.
          • SUB+1.8V and SUB+1.2V generated by IC5600.
          • SUB+5.6V generated by IC2870 possibly near power input connector.

Just need pic of each IC#### which should be marked on the board near the device.

SGSOS circuit (probably one possible 10 blink cause) senses P+5V, P+3.3V, SUB+5.6V, SUB+9V, SUB+1.2V, SUB+1.8V, SUB+3.3V, SUB+5V for over-voltage, and SUB+5.6V, SUB+9V and SUB+5V for presence. If a fault occurs in any of these then the error detect will fire.

If SGSOS fault detect, TP5471 would go HIGH ~3.3V.

I gave him the 2 inductors that the 3.3 & 5V pass through as test points to see if they were being generated or not.

See here... I've got to do some homework so try these tests 1st then we'll focus on the rest... tuner power.

Check across each pair of red while board installed & just as it is booting up (it might shut down voltages at 10 blinks so try checking just after plug in, or just after leaving standby, light should blink for a few secs beforehand), if necessary, solder wires and measure externally.

Added DVB reg IC8302 that wasn't mentioned before, but that's on this pic so don't worry.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't

I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

Panasonic TC-P54VT25 No image. A or D board?

I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.

The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.

I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board

All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
                                            • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                                            • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
